Sigma's Mr Bunny Travel Kit

After seeing loads of good reviews about the new Bunny line of vegan brushes Sigma recently released, I decided it was time to invest in some. Ive been needing some mre brushes for ages, and knew I wanted a set frm Sigma but couldnt decide which. I then saw this one and knew it had everything I need (for now!). I didnt really pick them for the vegan aspect (all the bristles are synthetic so nothing to do with animals) but because I had heard that because of this the brushes were softer and nicer than the regular versions. I got the black set rathr than the colourful one as I wanted all my brushes to match with the other ones I already own (Im a bit obsessed with that kind of thing!) Im already so in love with this set and I havent even got round to using them all yet!

You get three face brushes and 4 eye brushes..the two on the end are another two I got as well as the set which Il mention at the end of the post. I like that because it is a travel set the handles are shorter and more compact, I think they should make all their brushes this way, I dont know why I just prefer the shorter handles. The case they come with as also really handy, and Ill be using it to take all the brushes I need with me on holiday in the summer, as it will easily fit a few more in than what comes with it, fab!

Ive also found it very handy for storing brushes when Im at home, and since taking this photo Ive added the rest of my brush collection to the pots and it fits plenty in. I put face brushes in one and eye brushes in the other.
Now on to the best part, the brushes...

You get three great face brushes in this set which as as follows in the order pictured:

F30 Large Powder - Ive been using this every day for my MAC MSF Natural after Ive done my foundation. Its so big and fluffy, one of the softest brushes Ive ever used. It feels very luxurious on the skin and distributes a perfect amount of powder evenly across the face. I know Ill be using this every day now.

F60 Foundation - I havent used this yet as I dont like these kind of brushes for applying foundation. However I have just ordered Origins Vitazing Tinted Moisturiser and will be using this brush to apply it. It gorgeously soft as are all the brushes so it should apply it really nicely.

F40 Large Angled Contour - This brush is really multipurpose. I go thrugh phases of contouring and avent been dong it recently, but this brush is really lovely for applying blush. Its just the right size for the cheek and the angled shape make it so simple to do it properly. This als makes it great for contouring in the hollows of your cheeks and up to the temple and its actually encouraging me to want to contour more just to try this lovely brush out for it.

You also get four really useful eye brushes. I can never have enough eye brushes as I get really lazy with cleaning them and it makes it easy to grab a clean brush withut having to clean the same ew over and over. The ones in the set as in the order above as follows:

E30 Pencil - I was suprised at how lovely and soft this is. Other pencil brushes Ive got I find to be a bit stiff and sharp but this is gorgeous. Its great for applying eyeshadow to the crease before blending out with another brush and also on the lwer lash line. Another one Ill use every day.

E40 Tapered Blending - This is a perfect fluffy blending brush, and I know Ill use it for that in future, but for now Im using it to blend in my under eye concealer and it does such a good job of it! Im considering buying another one just for concealer.

E55 Eye Shading Brush - A perfect brush for whacking on one colour all ove the lid before a flick of liner. Ill get a lt of ue out of this, another really good brush!

E65 Small Angle - I really like this brush but havent used it yet as I have another brush that I prefer t angled brushes to d my gel liner. I really want to get a good eyeshadow powder to match my eyebrows so then I can use this brush to fill in my eyerows instead of a brow pencil. Any recommendations on a good blonde brow colour would be fantastic!

Last but not least I also purchases the E10 Small Eye Liner brush. Ive got a few skinny liner brushes but none are fantastic quality so I quickly added this to my basket when getting the Mr Bunny set. Its a lovely think brush and makes gel liner a doddle to apply. I recommend it to anyone wanting to try gel liner, its so much easier than liquid! I was also very kindly given the E25 Blending brush as a free gift which I was very pleased with as I had considered buying one to switch up with my MAC 217 but held back on buying it, but I got one for free anyway! Again, loving the short handle, perfect for travel!

Overall I highly recommend Sigma's brushes. Theyre so inexpensive comapred to other brands and just as good if not better. The shipping may tke forever to come to the UK from America but the wait is worth it and kind of adds to the excitement a little...I know I need to get a life!
Thanks so much for reading if you got this far! Its taken me absolutely ages to write this haha.

My Favourite Products of 2011

I realise that this is later than I would have prefered, and I also would have prefered to do this a a video...But Ive currently got tonsilitus and its just not a pretty sight (or sound for that matter). So here it is in blog post form....Theres quite a lot of products in here but Ive truely been loving each and every one of them to death this year! So lets get started...

Brushes...
ELF Angled Eyeliner Brush - This is perfect for applying gel liner, and so affordable too. The angled part kind of helps to get into the eye better, if that makes sense?!
Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki - The only brush Ive used for foundation since I got it, amazing!! But a bit of a bitch to clean.
ELF Powder Brush - Pretty similar to the Sigma one, good for foundation but brilliant for cream blush, or setting powder
MAC 217 Blending Brush - My best investment this year, really soft, applies eyeshadow like a dream! Absolutely fab for blending as well as applying shadows. I want more of these.

 Face Products...
Firstly I'd like to mention MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural as my favourite powder of the year, I ran out and have another en route in the post so dont have it to photograph otherwise it would be here.
MAC Dollymix Blush - Its bright pink, and its beautiful with a light hand, great for both winter and summer.
MAC Blushcreme Ladyblush - The perfect everyday colour, looks incredibly natural on the skin, my fave.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - Creamy, long lasting, fab coverage, inexpensive...best concealer ever.
Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation - Really blendable, a little goes a long way, feels so lightweight on the skin but gives an amazing coverage and is incredibly long lasting, my ultimate foundation. I even have a back-up....and I never do that with foundations!

Eye Products...
MAC All That Glitters Eyeshadow - I use this over my lid most days, everyone should own this! It will go with any skin tone too, great for a  wash of colour and a flick of liner.
MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow - An absolute staple in my collection, the perfect crease colour.
Urban Decay Naked Palette - Need I explain this one? Love it to death, cant wait to try Naked 2!
Avon Supershock Mascara - Loved this for years its amazingly volumising, couldnt be without this in my collection.
ELF Eyeshadow Primer - Its £3 and keeps my eyeshadow in place all day, bloody amazing.
ELF Eyebrow Treat and Tame - I only use the tame side, as a blonde brow gel, its cheap and works well too.
MAC Vintage Selection Paint Pot - Its an unreal primer, and also so pretty alone, Ive worn this to death this year.
Avon Supershock Eyeliner - It sso creamy but doesnt transfer, blackest black ever, this is my third this year! Literally cant see myself trying a different black eye kohl ever.
Maybelleine Gel Liner - Drug store price for a high end quality product. Stays in place all day and goes on a dream, much easier to use than liquid I think.

Lip Products...
Avon Pro-to-go Lipstick in Provocative Plum - Its the perfect "wash" of plummy colour, and is a nice colourul daytime option without being too full on. Lovely.
Carmex Cherry Lipbalm - Simply put, its the most effective lip balm Ive ever came across.
MAC Big Baby Plushglass - You can see how much Ive used this, its a perfect peachy nude and lovely formula, favourite ever lipgloss.
Nars Turkish Delight Lipgloss - Only bought because of Kim Kardashian (ridic.) But its actually bloody gorgeous, and looks great over nude lippie.
No7 Lip Pencil in Plum - These are so cheap with a £5 off No7 voucher and are lovely liners, really soft, I have a few and love them all just decided to picture this one
MAC Girl About Town Lipstick - My favourite night out lipstick, lovely and bright but doesnt look too crazy, I always get compliments when I wear this.
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight - The perfect nude for my skin tone, no concealer lips here! Alsot he formula is super silky and gorgeous.

Skincare...
Firstly, if I could I would include my new Liz Earle products and my Clarisonic in here as they blow all other skincare Ive used out the water, but since I only owned them for 6 days of 2011, I cant really...so these lot are things I have liked, but not as much as my new stuff!
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream with SPF50 - This is my go to sunscreen, which I should use everyday but often forget. Its not greasy or suncream-ish at all, and is really a lovely moisturiser in itself. Applying this once in the morning on holiday protected my face from burning all day. Winner.
S&G Off Your Face Wipes - If you could ever find a face wipe that was really good, this is it. Expensive, but so much nicer than the cheap ones in every way.
Clearasil Seal and Clear Spot Treatment - Slightly gross, but I find this works nicely at reducing any breakouts, especially if I get them as soon as they arrive!
Dermalogica Face Mask & Exfoliant - Boy have I made these babies last me! Teeny samples but Ill never afford the full size. Each use has seen my skin magically so much cleaner and clearer and beautiful. Loveeeee.

Nails...
Barry M Nail Paint in Pink Flamingo - I never had this off my nails all summer, so pretty in the sun with a tan!
Revlon Facets of Fuschia - Love at first sight with this one, so so pretty camera doesnt do it justice.
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Top Coat - Pretty awesome topcoat, makes my polish last ages longer! This bottle has gone gloopy now though and its nearly empty, time for a new one!
Barry M Red Glitter Nail Paint - Nothing is more Christmassy than this polish, but I want to wear it nowwww. So pretty it distracts me from things haha.

Hair...
Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo/Conditioner - I literally cant use anything other than these two when washing my hair or it goes flat as a pancake, used them all year and my hair is still responding nicely. I wont be straying at all in the near future.
Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo - Its cheap and works fine in my blonde hair for freshening it up, I only like the Tropical scent though.
Elnett Hairspray - Its just the best, by far. I love how it brushes out and doesnt leave much build up on your hair at all but still holds a style amazingly. I once had full on curls for 3 days because of this.
The Tangleteezer - The most effective yet gentle brush ever. So kind to my hair, I havent touched another brush since I got this.
John Freider Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray - This has brought a new lease of life to my nautrally dull blonde hair and its such a prettier colour now and I havet had to dye it properly. Savior!

Body, Bath, Etc...
S&G Hand Food - Best hand cream ever, gone through tonnes of this stuff now, Im slightly addicted to it.
S&G The Righteous Butter - I have got the world and his wife using this now, even my good old Nana loves it. Such a silky body butter that works wonders and smells unreal.
Paco Robanne Lady Million - This is my signature scent now. You must all smell it, Im in love with it and barely wear anything else now.
S&G The Breakfast Scrub - Another thing where I wont be straying to sample different brands, this is my favourite scrub by miles. Smells so good I could eat it and does a fabjob at slogging off my dead skin, lovely thought I know!
Lush Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar - Ive been through dozens of these this year, they have a gorgeous fresh smell that Im always in the mood for, lovely bubble bar :)
Rituals Foaming Shower Gel - Only had this a month but really love it. It leaves you feeling super clean and fresh and the foam feels rather luxurious, definately will repurchase it!

Dear me this has taken me SO long to sit and write I think I need a good cup of tea haha. Thanks for reading if you got this far!

May Favourites

Another monthly post of the proucts Ive been loving this month...is it just me or are these posts feeling closer and closer together...May has flew by!

So heres all the goodies Ive been using a lot this month....

For some reason the picture of the V05 Weightless Volume Mousse just wont work, but you can see what it looks like above. The simple truth is that without a mousse my hair is flat as a pancake, it needs all the help it can get. This V05 mousse is my Holy Grail mousse by a mile. This is my third bottle now and I honstly couldnt be without it. I went for a while without using it an my har was just awful so I had to repurchase. It gives volume to thin hair, and doesnt leave it feeling full of product, it basically does what it says on the tin, just lovely.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
Now you porbably all know abou my love affair with this product. It smells amazing, leaves your skin feeling amazing, and is just the best body butter in the world. It feels so silky to the touch as well which I love, I like this even better than the Boy Shop butters, which is sayng a lot because theyve always been my favourites.

Elf Eyebrow Treat and Tame
I love this for the "tame" side to use as an eyebrows gel to hol them in place all day. I love how it has a slight colour "ash" which is the perfect colour for my brows too, just perfect for finishing them off after my brow pencil. Ive use the treat en a few tims an alothough I cant say its made my eyebrows grow huge amounts, I do like the thought of it and should probably give it a proper go. I use this as part of my nightly rountine (when I remember), and it feels nice an smooth, not greasy or anything and sinks into the skin leaving no trace that it was ever there which I think is nice, dont think I would like to sleep with cakey greasy brows!

Natural Collection Pink Cloud Blush
This is hands down my most used blusher, ever. Although I guess it may not be my favourite of all time (Benefit Dallas), its so wearable for everyay wear and does give a lovely colour. The texture is lovely and silky as well an efinately oesnt fee or look as cheap as it actually is, around £2! Ive hear its a good dupe for MAC's Well Dressed, so I would definately recommend checking it out as a cheaper alternative. I use it most days and love the colour it gives. Its very forgiving, and very blendable an buildable and I just think its amazing for the price.

Avon Glazewear Silky Shine Lipstick in Apricot
This photo makes this listick looks so dark and red when its really much lighter, sorry I forgot to do swatches! Firslty I love the rose gol packaing, very pretty an so much nicer than your average black. This reminds me very much of the Mac Sheen Supreme lipsticks, very gloosy and shiny an quite sheer. This lipstick is so wearable, very moisturising, and sheer but buildable. Its very much a "your lips but better" shade, but they o have a nice variety of colours. Im very tempte to look at getting some more as the formula and everything about these lipsticks is gorgeous!

Sigma F80 Synthetic Flat Top Kabuki
I just did a review on this brush yesterday and if you read that youll already know why its in this months favourites. It appliedmy founation flawlessly and I really wont use any other brush for my founation now (apart from the elf power burhs when this one is being washed). Its so soft, doesnt shed, and gives amazing coverages of liquid, cream, and powder products, my favourite brush ever!

MAC 217
I use this brush every single day with my eyeshadow. It applies and blends like a dream, I would actually like to have two of these one just for blending and one for applying but Im not that rich haha. So glad I got this as my first MAC brush, very impressed.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
How could I not include this? I waited for month and months and now its all mine :) Its a favourite for all the reasons everyone else says about it, perfect colours, in cute packaging and great for travelling, I cant wait for my holidays to only have to take this for eyeshaows and have a million looks I can create just using this.

Sigma F80 vs. ELF Powder Brush

Ive been meaning to do this post for so long now, but Im glad Ive gave them both a really good try before I did this review.

Id heard that these brushes were very similar so decided to put it to the test, and to cut to the chase, they are ridiculously similar in almost every single way.

Similarities:
- Apply powder, cream blush and liquid founation immaculately. This is the only products Ive used them with but find they work very well with all of them, giving even coverage, no streaks at all and an almost airbrush finish, I will never ever use my average founation brush again after discovering these.

-Wash well, I find these suprisingly dry quite quickly after washing and come out lovely and fluffy.

- No shedding, which to me can be the end of a brush when they leave black hairs all over your nicely applied make-up when you then have to pick holes in it to get rid of the brush hairs. Neither of these have shed a single hair with me, big thumbs up!

Differences:

- Density, yes they are both very dense brushes but to me the sigma is slighty more dense than the ELF brush. I think this may be just because the brush hairs on the elf brush are slightly longer than the sigma brush so they splay out a little more at the top and arent as tightly packed. Because of this I like the Sigma brush a little better as I feel it buffs in my foundation slgihtly better as the bristles are so tightly packed at the end. But this is nit picking, an only a tiny difference!

- Overall quality, the sigma brush overall feels like a better brush. It just looks better to me, the lettering on the handle is more professional looking, and I like the thicker handle. Also, this week the handle on the ELF power brush has become very loose, and wiggles around a lot which leads me to think it might come out pretty soon and break, which is a huge thumbs down!

-Price, of course the ELF powder brush wins hands down at under £5, and the Sigma brush is $16. Im not quite sure exactly how much this is in pounds, but obviously quite a bit more than the ELF brush. Because of this, on a budget I woul go for buying the ELF brush as it is pretty much the same an still amazing, but if you have the spare cash I would recommend the Sigma brush, I just prefer it!

The Winner....Sigma F80!

Bless him haha, so now I am the proud owner of an Urban Decay Naked palette :) So far I really like all the colours, but I did use sidecar today which is super shimmery and when  came home from college I had the glittery bits off it down the sides of my cheeks somehow, lovely!

Dry Brushes in 4 Hours...Really?

Now I bet Im not alone when I say I hate washing my brushes, not because I dont want them clean, but because they take so long to dry and you cant use them for ages, usually I have to leave them over night....But those days are over!

There has been a new addition to the Sigma range called "Dry'n'Shape. This wonderful little thing drys  your brushes in only 4-6 hours, AND they will be in their perfect shape good as new! It works by the special fabric applying pressure to the bristles of the brush to make the water evaporate quicker. This is priced at US$29.00...which I think is brilliant especially as you cant get this anywhere else!

They are available to buy now so click HERE to find out more on the site!
