November Empties!

Here we have the products I finished up in November, some of which I was a little sad about, and some of which I have already replaced....

Firstly we have the Eyeko Big Eyes mascara, which when I bought it (around a year ago) was retailing at £8. Eyeko have now totally chaned their branding and most of their products, so now they have a "masacara wardrobe" of a number of types of mascaras with differing wands claiming to do different things to your lashes. Now from the looks of things, this mascara is now retailed as the "Skinny mascara" for lengthening lashes at £15 a pop! What?! Really?! As it so happens, I think I would possibly pay that rpice for this mascara, in the hope that its basically the same as the Big Eyes one. I have to say I fell absolutely in love with this mascara. It is extremely good at lengthening your lashes, and the thin brush means you can get the smaller ones nicely too. I used to use it over my regular mascara to give a more lngethened and dramatic look, and it came to be that I was doing this on a daily basis. Sadly this has completely ran out now (I know, I know youre only meant to use them for a few month...but seriously who really does that when its stil working well for you?). The good thing was because of the squeezy tube I could squeeze it around a bit to get the product that was on the edges to get more use out of it, lovely :)

After that extremely long ramble about the mascara, I hope to keep this one short and ever so sweet. This eyeliner was one the Avon Supershock one. As you can se I used it until I literally could no longer sharpen it, the lid is now longer than the pencil. This is my favourite eyeliner EVER EVER EVER. Its so creamy soft, incredibly easy and quick to apply, and suprisingly long lasting I find considering its consistency. Many people complain about its tendancy to smudge, but really I dont find this a problem what so ever. Im already using what was my back-up of this, and loving having a full length pencil to use again rather than this stump! Although it was very travel friendly for when I went on holiday haha.

Soap and Glory never fail to disappoint me. This is no exception. Hand Food is my all time favourite hand cream. Ive gone through a fair few small tubes, which I keep in my handbag for use on the go, but this is the first time Ive ran out of a big tube, as I keep this in the house in my bedside table. This squirts out a far larger amount than the small tubs in one go, so you have to be more careful when squeexing it out, and a little really goes a long way so this will last you forever. I got this through the summer and have only just ran out and I use it a lot. Im a hand cream freak. Love this, always.

Now heres a product that you wont find me raving about. Quickies Nail varnish remover pads....good idea in theory, and perfect for travelling. I bought these for when I was on holiday, and I think Ive been spoilt with my Sally Hansen nail varnish remover as I HATED these. I found they took forever and a day to get my polish off, and lfet a wierd feeling to my hands which I couldnt stand. I used half a tub trying to get just one lot of nail varnish off my fingers! I used them up last time I took nail varnish off just to get rid of them. Some people swear by them but I dont understant why really. Maybe, and thats a big maybe, I would use them if I was travelling again, but I think a bottle of my favourite nail varnish remover wouldnt be such a big burden to carry with me as it actually works wonders compared to these. Bummer.

This unidentifiable bottle used to contain Elf Make Up Mist and Set. This is basically the Elf equivalent of MAC Fix+, sort of. It definately isnt as luxurious feeling as Fix+, but for a girl on a budget, I like! I use this to set my make-up, especialyl when it has gone sort of cakey and overdone looking, a few sprays of this over my face and it looks so much more natural. Ive ordered another one of these and cant wait to have a pretty bottle of it again rather than this one where the print has rubbed away. Definately would recommend this!

Those of you who have read my blog for the past year will have seen this a million times, and for that, I apologise. This has been in so many empties posts I cant even imagine. This is he Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser. It claims to help clear spots, that Im not sure of, but what I will say it is a lovely, light moisturiser. It gives a lovely amount of moisture to my face without being like a slick on my skin, and sinks in very nicely and quickly so I dont have to wait around for ages before putting on my foundation. Its pretty basic, but it seems to agree with me so I will continue to repurchase what I know works until some miracle moisturiser comes along.

Here lies a product that Im sad to have come to the end of. As I said before, Soap and Glory are always a winner for me, and Scrub Your Nose In  It is one of my favourite products Ive tried from them. This tube has lasted me since last Christmas, (!!) and Ive used it loads too so its well worth it. It is essentially a face scrub/mask. So how I used it was to smooth it over my face, leave it for a few minutes, then when getting it off I would scrub it like a scrub to get the best of both worlds. This does tingle/sting a bit, but this really doesnt bother me as my skin isnt at all sensitive, and I quite like that as I feel like its "working". Ill definately repurchase this soon as the only other products liek this I have are from Dermalogica (Glossybox samples) and Elemis, which I use sparignly as I was vair expensive! To be honest I actually liek this S&G one more anyway, it leaves my skin feeling very very clean and smooth, just lovely!

So thats what I finished up this month, that was a mammoth post, my fingers are numb from typing now!
Thanks for reading my lovelies, and dont forget to enter my 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway

April Empties

I was contempleting on whether or not to do this post as the things I have finished up are pretty basic, but here they are anyway and my thoughts on them:

Johnsons Daily Essentials Facial Cleansing Wipes
These are their face wipes for normal skin. I must say I really didnt like these, and only used them up for the sake of not wasting them. It was hard work getting my make-up off with these although they were ok with my waterproof mascara compared to other wipes Ive tried. What I didnt like about them most was the kind of oily feel they left on my skin. I just felt like I needed to wash it again straight after. Im trying to get out of the lazy habit of using cleansing wipes and using proper cleanser a lot more, but these just didnt cut it for me anyway.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser
This is just a basic moisturiser, but I find it works wonderfully. What more can you say about a moisturiser? Its a lovely consistency, not thick and not too runny, and it smells fresh too. Ive aleady bought a second tube to replace this one and I know Ill be buying more when that one runs out too. I use it every day morning and night and I even like it better than my Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion.

Soap and Glory Hand Food
This is without a doubt my favourite hand cream by a mile. It smells delicious and really moisturises my hands nicely without leavin a greasy sheen. This is the little one I keep in my bag because Ive got an obsession with having smooth hands and thats why this one ran out. I keep a big tube for in the house and that huge one is temporarily residing in my bag until I get my hands on another mini one. Also, how cute is the packaging, I love Soap and Glory too much.

March Empties

Ive seen this idea on a few blogs and thought it was a good way to give a true review of a product. After all, if youve used it all up youve had enough experience with it to give a half decent review on it rather than after youve just bought it. So without further ado, heres the products I finished up in March...

Superdrug Eye Make-up Remover. This bottle has lasted me ages, I can remember buying it around November 2009, and thats how long this one bottle of eye make-up remover has lasted, and its really affordable so good value fo rmoney there! IThe product is rather basic though, it does sting if you use quite a bit, but it also does a good jjob at getting every scrap of mascara off. I dont love it but dont hate it, its alright because its cheap.

Ive had this for years, and I mean about 4 years as I got it in a gift set, and its the tiniest pot ever. Ive had it this long mainly because for a few years I didnt really get what I was meant to use it for, its not a face cream, and its in too small of a pto for me to beleive it was a body lotion. So for ageas I jsut used it on my elbows and knees and any really dry patches, but its not really thick enough for that either. So basically this is just the same as the Vitamin E Body Lotion, but in tiny amounts. Weird, but its still nice, but just buy the big bottle of body lotion instead, its probably much better value for money.

I must say I only really bought this because it was pink and it smells nice. The smell is so refreshing and lovely, but the product inside is pretty average. I have to say it didnt really blow me away. I used it all up because I hate waste, but I probably wont buy this again. It works ok to cleanse the face but its really thick so takes some effort spreading it around. Its a half way house between an exfoliator and a cleanser, so it doesnt really specialise in either. Its ok, but nothing special.

I got this shampoo with the S&G "Big Pink" box. I did a review on it here if you want a detailed explanation of it. I wont ramble on saying as Ive already posted about it, but lets jsut say Soap and Glorys speciality certainly isnt their shampoo! I just used it up because I didnt want to waste it.

I cant count how many of these little Flake Away tubs Ive gone through. It used to be my favourite body scrub until I discovered The Breakfast Scrub. I find Flake Away leaves an oily kind of sheen afterwards, so I have to used shower gel after it, which is ok, but Thje Breakfast Scrub is jsut miles better. Im keeping this little tub for when I go on holiday, I intend to scoop some of The Breakfast Scrub out of the big tub and put it in here for my travels :) Ive got literally buckets full of Flake Away to get through too.

A bit random, but I used to be obsessed with Impulse body sprays. I think its because they were convenient to freshen up in school, after lessons or P.E or something, but I just dont seem to carry them with me as much now. I found this one lying in a drawer last week and used it up within a few days. Tease is one of my favourites on their scents, along with Temptaion and Goddess. I think I might start using them more again. This one is described as a blend of pineapple and exotic wood. Hmm..not sure like, but whatever it is it smells yummy :)

Do you think I should do these posts all the time?

December Favourites

I know Im a bit late with my favourites of the month post, as I wasnt going to do one since I had done a Favourites of 2010 post. But Im bored, and I thought I may aswell! However its late, and I dont have any pictures prepared, so the images will have to come from the wonders of google images.

Barry M Nail Paint in Racing Green.

I found this colour perfect for the festive season. To me, Christmas is Green, Red and Gold. I like to switch up the colours of my nails, I get bored and never paint them the same colour two times in a row. I knew I wanted red nails for Christmas, so for most of December I used this as my festive tribute. I actually went back to this polish over and over again, which is unusual, but I just love the colour of it. Its got a nice shimmer through it as well which I like as its not just a flat green colour. Gorgeous!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Sugar Plum

Im not sure if this was in my November favourites post, but hey ho! I actually borrowed this from my mam when I found it when trawling through her make-up bag and I fell in love. She said I really suited it, so she just gave me it :).  For a start, it smells and tastes lovely, kind of sweet, which kind of actually does fit with its name nicely. It looks to be a really hard to wear colour in the tube, really deep/bright pinky plum. But this isnt how it goes on. Once applied its a lovely bright, but wearable pinky shade. On me this came out slightly lighter than the "swatch" above, but this may differ from person to person. It stains your lips brilliantly so even when it wears off over time your lips are still the lovely berry stained colour. I might have to invest in more lipsticks from this range soon.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser

When I bought this, I had'nt heard of it before. There had been no rave reviews spurring me on to get it or anything like that, which I normally have when I buy new beauty products. I walked into Boots looking for a new moisturiser, this one looked alright, I trust Neutrogena, so I jsut bought it thinking nothing of it. Now Ive finished the tube, and I can honestly say its amazing. It seems really thick when you squeeze it out and slather it on, but I like that much better than a really thin texture that feels like its done absolutely nothing for you. It really does moisturise, like you would expect, but just, nicer and better than others I've come across. My skin feels good, like its been given a good drink, really healthy and smooth, and I LOOOOOVE it. So much so that my Clinique Dramatically Different takes a back seat in favour of it. That really is saying something from me.

GOSH Natural Blush in Juicy Peach

I've had this blush for nearly a year now, and you can barely tell I've used it, and believe me, I have used it. This is because its so highly pigmented a tiny amount on your brush really does go a long way. You really do have to be careful with this, I've had a few times in the beginning where I looked like a clown, its not hard to make this mistake. This rarely happens now as I'm used to it and know to apply tiny amounts at a time. Its a gorgeous peachy corally colour on the skin and gives you a summer glow. I normally would associate this with summer, as it was my go-to blush for holidays and when I was wearing fake tan. Neither of which has happened at all in December, so Ive suprised myself by using it frequently this month. I dont know why, but it works with pale skin as well as it did with my pathetic attempt of a tan. I like how its not shimmery, like the ELF blush that I use so often, it makes a nice change for me.

Primark 4 in 1 Deep Facial Cleansing Wipes.

Firstly, sorry to the lovely blogger who posted this photo that I found on google images. It is very very lazy of me not to take my own photos, and there were no other pictures on the internet at all of this product. If you're reading this feel free to bollock me. Anyway, a pack of two lke this was £1, and they were conveniently stacked as I awas waiting in the huge queue in primark right beside me. I was low on face wipes so I jsut shoved them in my basket. I expected them to be awful, I generally assume this with Primark and they continue to shock me. For starters, they smell so beautiful, like fruity and fragrant but in a fresh way that you dont mind covering your face in. They dont sting, at all, which I often hate about face wipes, and they generally do their job well. What else can be said about face wipes, jsut the fact that it was £1 for 50, and theyre the best Ive came across, having only tried drug store brands. Pat on the back for Primark, slap across the cheeks for me for taking a bloggers picture.

Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish

I realise that everyone already knows about this, but I havew to say this is my favourite body scrub ever ever ever. It is beautiful in every way, and as of yet id my favourite Soap and Glory product. Not a single flake of dry skin ugliness gets past this beauty, and my skin feels slippery smooth when I get out the shower, lush!

The Body Shop Vanilla Spice Shimmer Lip Balm

For most girls, the holy grail product of these bitterly cold months is a good lip balm. I often find that my lips just will never evr not be chapped in winter, which means no lipstick for me :(. It also means I feel the need to constantly keep applying lip balm to try and beat the freeze. Therefore, I want it to look pretty too. This ticks both my boxes, its slightly shimmery so looks like a lip gloss, but it really thick and stays put on your lips for ages even through drinking hot cups of hot chocolate. Apart from that, it smells and tastes devine, but what else would you expect from The Body Shop. My little tub has lasted me about 4 years, and Ive only just hint the bottom. It doesnt even have the same pacaking design as the one pictured its that old. I know its probably well out of date and disgusting but it hasnt changed at all since I got it, and Im not one to waste anything. Yummy Yummy Yummy.

Random Favourites

Good old Holly Willoughbooby

I jsut admire everything about her, shes got class but shes still cheeky and a bit naughty, and shes jsut gorgeous and I love her style. My boyfriend thinks we were separated at birth, he thinks I'm jsut like her, I wish!

Rihanna ft. Drake What's My Name

I've became a little bit obsessed with this song. Apart from the fact I completely idolise Rihanna, its generally rather catchy and I keep singing it ALLLLL the time, its probably very annoying. It reminds me of good times partying in town with my friends around Christmas time, me and Natalie had this dance move going for it, cringeworthy.

Irn Bru

Yes, wierd I know. I forgot how much I loved this and now Im re-addicted like I was in Year 10. Delicioso!

The Snood

What a marvellous invention. Now I dont have to have the tassels of a scarf hanging out the bottom of my coat looking rather odd, or the scarf trailing all down inside my coat making me look twice the size I really am. Amen to the snood.

Right that was a stupidly long post, congrats if you made it this far.
