My Haircare Routine

I dont think Ive ever done a haircare routine post, which I know is ridiculous, and if I have it must have been a looong time ago and its changed drastically anyway.

I should probably start by saying I have fine, and quite greasy hair. It ued to get washed everyday because I hate having flat greasy looking hair. Ive now trained it to stretch to every other day which is a lot easier.

Basically I wash my hair every other day with the Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, which Ive mentioned a million times so I wont go over it all again but you can read my review here.
Theyre fantastic products and I use them everytime I wash my hair, if I stray from them I notice an incredibly negative difference in the state of my hair.

This Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask from Boots was mainly attractive to me because it was considerably cheaper than other similar products from bigger brands. I'd never used a hair mask and thought that saying as I have thin and greasy hair it might be a big mistake using one, so I opted for this as the cheapest option. I shampoo and condition as normal and then once a week Ill slather this all over my hair and pile it on my head with a big halr grip and leave it for about 10 minutes before washing it out thouroughly. Ive found it really leaves my hair silky smooth, all my split ends are kind of disguised and I generally feel like Im treating my hair nicely when I use this. It smells ubelievable too which is a bonus!

I only bought this Schwarzkopf got2b guardian angel recently because I was in dire need of a heat protectant for my hair. I blow dry it every time its washed, and will occasionally straighten it or curl it too and I ran out of my last heat protectant literally well over a year ago. Im gunna be good and spray this in when its wet after every wash as part of my routine :) I only picked this one because Sara of SWalkerMakeUp uses it and her hair is always amazing.

Im onto my second bottle of TIGI Bed Head Superstar Blowdry Lotion now, which is saying something for me to stick to a product. I either use this of my VO5 Volumising Mousse (which is amazing but is at Davids so I coudnt take a photo) to get a bit of texture and volume into my hair. I hate hate hate my hair if I dont use either of these, and they both give my hair loads more volume and it is gerally less flat and much better all round. Cant recommend this enough! Although you only need a tiny bit because too much will just weigh your hair down and make it look lank and awful.

I bought the John Frieda Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray to brighten up my dull dirty blonde hair. This stuff is amaaaazing. I really dont want to start dying my hair because all my friends have and their hair is never how they want it, they spend a fortune on dye and their hair is in such bad conditiony. This is the perfect thing for me then as it lightens my hair and brightens the blonde without the fuss/expense/risk of dying it. Ive used it about 6 times now and have noticed a difference so Ill continue to use it and see what happens! I spray it through all my hair and comb through to make sure its evenly spread through all my hair before blowdrying. You have to use heat on it to activate it to make it lighten your hair. This is often what has made me use straighteners afterwards too as it helps make it more effective. Definately recommend this to my fellow dull blondes!

This VO5 Miracle Concentrate has been constantly raved about by Beauty Bloggers and with good reason too. It smells unreal, is only abou a fiver and does a similar job to that of the very expensive Morrocan Oil, which not all of us can afford. Ok, Morrocan Oil may be better but this is certainly good enough for me! I smooth it through my hair before blowdrying, and again when Im completely finished styling my hair (only a teeny drop and just at the ends). It really seals in any split ends and makes my hair look shiny and in gereally better condition. Im pretty sure its packed with fab ingredients too so it is actually nourishing your hair too. If my thin greasy hair can even take it and benefit from it then it would work for anyone!

Ahh good old Batiste Dry Shampoo. I literally dont know how I would survive without this stuff. I use it on the mornings I dont wash my hair on the in between days and it is just really refreshing and makes my ahri full of volume and looks as if its clean and just much better. I always use the Tropical one because it smells like holidays haha. I go through can after can of this, couldnt be without it!

Last but not least I use TIGI Bed Head Headrush Shine Adrenaline to give my hair a lovely shine after using the dry shampoo, which often leaves my ahri looking quite dry and matte. By using this after it gives my hair its glossy sheen back which I love. It smells so amazing too, really fruity and this can has lastd me ages! I love a load of different shine sprays but this is the one I come back to time and time again. Lovely!

Also I forgot to photograph my hairsprays (of which their are many). I like some for different purposes and Ill do a separate post on them, but I ALWAYS have a huge can of Elnett in my haircare box, its a must have!

Thanks for reading if you got this far!
Love yas :)

Boots Advantage Points Haul

Like a lot of girls who buy their products from Boots regularly, I own an Advantage Points card. Incase anybody doesnt know, its a points system where you are awarded points for your purchases which can then be redeemed instore. Ive been saving up my points for a few years and have never even looked to see how many points I had, turns out I have about £50.00 worth of points there! I needed to stock up on some products and heres what I got with some of my points...In effect I got these for FREE!

VO5 Miracle Concentrate

Ive wanted to try Moroccan Oil for ages but didnt want to fork out all that cash. Id heard good things about this little guy and so I picked it up. I only just a teeny amount as my hair is really fine but it makes the ends of my hair look like theyve just been cut and hides my split ends. This smells amazing, kind of like suncream and tropical fruit, and I catcha whiff of it every now and again when its in my hair. I dont know if this has improved the condition of my hair in any way, but I like the idea of it so Ill keep using it!

Radox Moisturise Shower Cream

I only picked this up because I had ran out of S&G Clean On Me, and this was only 85p on special offer. It smells nice and does the job, but it only lasted me a few weeks! Not much else to say about a pretty basic shower cream really.

Boots 17 Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive

Ok, this is one time when the blogger hype got to me. I lvoed what everyone had been saying about this, all the rave reviews, and I should have known better. On me, this does NOTHING. It looks like I have a clear lipgloss on, or a peachy one at most. Maybe its because I have really pigmented lips, but this doesnt transfer any real colour to my lips at all, I realyl dont get the hype?! There is a picture at the end of the psot showing exactly what I mean..oh well!

Goody Hair Rollers

I was watching a tutorial be Sara Walker, of SWalkerMakeUp on Youtube on how to get great volume and body with rollers just like these. She made it look SO easy and her hair looked amazing afterwards, jsut how I want mine to look.
I saw these in Boots and picked them up straight away, the blue ones being the Jumbo ones and the yellow ones slightly smaller in Large. I thought saying as I have fine hair this would be enough for my whole head. Turns out, this only does half my head as I found out when I tried them out. Also turns out it aint as easy as I thought it would be, and my hair looked a mess! But practice makes perfect and Ill buy some more and get that gorgeous look that Sara got from hers!

VO5 Ultimate Hold Weather Resistant Hairspray

For once my inspiation for this purchase wasnt from a "Beauty Guru" but rather my own mother. She had this in her handbag and I borrowed it and truely loved it. Although nothing will replace my beloved Elnett as my all time favourite, this puts up a good competition. It smells delightful, and gives out a lovely fine mist so its easy to get a really light finish or yu can build it up if you require it. I love the handy size of it to, perfect hand-bag size. Im very impressed with the new VO5 line so far.

Batiste Big and Bouncy XXL Volume Dry Shampoo

Ill just go ahead and say, I really hate this. I find I get better volume from their regular line, which I love. This doesnt leave my hair feeling fresh, it feels packed with horrible grainy product which just feels and look bloody awful to be honest. Ive tried all different ways of using this, close and far away, in layers or just one spritz, and its always horrible. Sometimes I wonder if theres something wrong with me as a lot of the products that are raved about on here really dont live up to what people say they are for me.

Jergens Naturals Skin Firming Body Lotion

This may or may not firm my skin, I havent noticed a difference at all, but it has quite a nice but strong smell and moisturises nicely so I dont really mind. I wasnt expecting some cellulite and fat busting miracle to come out of this tube so Im happy with how this is going for me.

Heres what 17's Beehive lipstick looks on me, yep, bloody awful! This is literally how my lips look on their own so I think Ill just use this when I dont really want any colour on my lips and just a nice sheen.

May Favourites

Another monthly post of the proucts Ive been loving this month...is it just me or are these posts feeling closer and closer together...May has flew by!

So heres all the goodies Ive been using a lot this month....

For some reason the picture of the V05 Weightless Volume Mousse just wont work, but you can see what it looks like above. The simple truth is that without a mousse my hair is flat as a pancake, it needs all the help it can get. This V05 mousse is my Holy Grail mousse by a mile. This is my third bottle now and I honstly couldnt be without it. I went for a while without using it an my har was just awful so I had to repurchase. It gives volume to thin hair, and doesnt leave it feeling full of product, it basically does what it says on the tin, just lovely.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
Now you porbably all know abou my love affair with this product. It smells amazing, leaves your skin feeling amazing, and is just the best body butter in the world. It feels so silky to the touch as well which I love, I like this even better than the Boy Shop butters, which is sayng a lot because theyve always been my favourites.

Elf Eyebrow Treat and Tame
I love this for the "tame" side to use as an eyebrows gel to hol them in place all day. I love how it has a slight colour "ash" which is the perfect colour for my brows too, just perfect for finishing them off after my brow pencil. Ive use the treat en a few tims an alothough I cant say its made my eyebrows grow huge amounts, I do like the thought of it and should probably give it a proper go. I use this as part of my nightly rountine (when I remember), and it feels nice an smooth, not greasy or anything and sinks into the skin leaving no trace that it was ever there which I think is nice, dont think I would like to sleep with cakey greasy brows!

Natural Collection Pink Cloud Blush
This is hands down my most used blusher, ever. Although I guess it may not be my favourite of all time (Benefit Dallas), its so wearable for everyay wear and does give a lovely colour. The texture is lovely and silky as well an efinately oesnt fee or look as cheap as it actually is, around £2! Ive hear its a good dupe for MAC's Well Dressed, so I would definately recommend checking it out as a cheaper alternative. I use it most days and love the colour it gives. Its very forgiving, and very blendable an buildable and I just think its amazing for the price.

Avon Glazewear Silky Shine Lipstick in Apricot
This photo makes this listick looks so dark and red when its really much lighter, sorry I forgot to do swatches! Firslty I love the rose gol packaing, very pretty an so much nicer than your average black. This reminds me very much of the Mac Sheen Supreme lipsticks, very gloosy and shiny an quite sheer. This lipstick is so wearable, very moisturising, and sheer but buildable. Its very much a "your lips but better" shade, but they o have a nice variety of colours. Im very tempte to look at getting some more as the formula and everything about these lipsticks is gorgeous!

Sigma F80 Synthetic Flat Top Kabuki
I just did a review on this brush yesterday and if you read that youll already know why its in this months favourites. It appliedmy founation flawlessly and I really wont use any other brush for my founation now (apart from the elf power burhs when this one is being washed). Its so soft, doesnt shed, and gives amazing coverages of liquid, cream, and powder products, my favourite brush ever!

MAC 217
I use this brush every single day with my eyeshadow. It applies and blends like a dream, I would actually like to have two of these one just for blending and one for applying but Im not that rich haha. So glad I got this as my first MAC brush, very impressed.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
How could I not include this? I waited for month and months and now its all mine :) Its a favourite for all the reasons everyone else says about it, perfect colours, in cute packaging and great for travelling, I cant wait for my holidays to only have to take this for eyeshaows and have a million looks I can create just using this.

April Favourites

This is possibly the most products Ive ever had in a favourites post, I try to narrow it down. But this monh these products really have stood out to me and Ive been using them a lot. Im gonig to do proper reviews on some of them soon, but heres what Ive been loving through April...

Avon Angled Brush
This is the softest brush I own, its gorgeous. Its great for applyng blush, but especially useful for contouring with bronzer, I've used it everyday since I bought it.

Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter
My favourite body butter. I love this for before I apply my fake tan, it smells great, sinks in nicely and leaves you feeling moisturised not greasy. Its got a lovely texture to it its not too thick but not too runny, just perfect.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW15
This is the perfect colour for my skin right now, it dries pretty quickly and is really buildable for nights out. It covers all my imperfections but still looks natural looking on the skin if you apply it sparingly. Just one pump does my enitre face and neck with ease so its going to last me ages. I couldnt be wthout this now.

Cherry Carmex Lip Balm
I thought I had lsot this but found it in a bag a few weeks ago. I forgot how amazing this is, its not too thick on your lips, just does the job of healing any chapped parts and really moisturises. It deserves its fantastic reputation.

V05 Weightless Volume Whipped Mousse
This was my holy grail hair mouse for years but I ran out in October and only just got round th getting a new one. I dont know what I did without this, it really does what it says on the tin, its totally weightleess but still gives plenty of lift, volume, and hold. My hair jsut feels rubbish witohut using this now.

Aussie Aussome Volune Shampoo and Conditioner
Ive noticed a real difference in my hair since I started using these. My hair lasts longer between washes without getting greasy, and it actually is more volumised when I wash it. Also the smell is amazing and lasts nicely in my hair for a day or so after its washed, I catcha whiff of it walking down the street now and againa nd it makes me feel lovely and fresh.

Soap and Glory The Breakfast Scrub
Just wow! I cant remember if Ive done a review on this or not but  will if I havent. This is a million times better than Flake Away (no greasy resiue leftover!). It has the best smell ever, like something you just wanna eat for breakfast, like maple syrup. Honestly the yummiest smell EVER! Its my holy grail scrub and it works well with my false tan too. Its just beyond amazing!

So thats my favourite products this moth, hope you enjoyed it!

Haul: Boots and New Look

As today was so sunny I decided to talk a wander into town (my legs are killing). As usual I couldnt help myself in the shops. But I had been given some Easter money off famly to buy some Easter clothes, and I needed some neccessities so heres what I got:

I visited Boots first to make sure I got the things I was in need of before wasting it on other stuff, I was a good girl and avoided the make-up counters at all costs....

As you can see I stocked up haha, Ive never used Boots' own cleansing wipes before, but saying as they were on offer I thought I would give them a go, I only use them for fixing my makeup (mascara marks etc) so I guess they cant do much harm.

I like to just shove my hair up in the warmer weather out of the way, and it came to my attention the other day when I went to do so and I had one hair bobble left and of course all of my hair grips have ran away, so some more were needed.

At the minute Im using David's Mam's Tresseme for thick frizzy hair. This is not doing anything good for my thin flat hair so I invested in the Aussome Volume set from Aussie. Ive never used them but heard great things about Aussie so I thought I would give them a go :)

The VO5 Volume Mousse is my Holy Grail hair mousse. I ran out of it a few month ago and Ive jsut been using TIGI Bedhead Superstar Queen For A Day Spray instead, but I really prefer the combination of this with a bit of TIGI Superstar Blowdry Lotion. Cant wait to get my old hair routine back!

I took a ander over to New Look and picked up these few summer essentials...

I really like aviator shades but my head is comically small and can make big sunglasses look ridiculous on me.  tried these on and they are just right for me, they still look fairly oversized, but in a good way, looooove them and their pricetag of only £2.99.

Ive seen these a few times on trips into New Look and have wanted them each time. I know its a good item if I see it a few times and still want it just as much each time, so this convinced me to get these. New Look shoes always seem good quality for the price as these were only £15. Theyre more corally in real life and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of them over summer.

It was actually impossible for me to get a good shot of these shorts, Ill have to do an OOTD to do them justice. These were such a nuaghty impulse buy for me as I just seen them and took them straight to pay for them. I didnt try them on or anything but luckily when I got them home they look good. Theyre so soft and light for summer and I can match them with anything. I originally wanted to get them in the more burnt orangey colour but Iim really glad I got these instead as they suit my skin (when its St Moriz'd) and will go with more things. Loveeee them :)

Quite a successful trip into town me thinks!
