Currently my hair needs washed every single day. Yes this means every morningI wash and blowdry my hair. Im aware that blowdrying everyday isnt really doing it any good, as well as I really cant be bothered to go through all of that every morning anymore.
So, Im on a mission to train my hair. I know Im going to look like a greaseball some days but in the end itll be worth it. Im now washing it every other day. Right now on those in between days my hair is so horrendous, only helped slightly by a sneaky bit of dry shampoo. Sometimes Ive been leaving it two days to give it a little longer if Ive been feeling brave
Ive only been doing this for around 10 days now, and just want to ask if any of you have any tips if youve maybe had to go through this too...How long did it take? What did you do on your awful greasy days?
Snaps for my perserverance to get healthier hair and to using less shampoo!

Haul: Boots and New Look
As today was so sunny I decided to talk a wander into town (my legs are killing). As usual I couldnt help myself in the shops. But I had been given some Easter money off famly to buy some Easter clothes, and I needed some neccessities so heres what I got:
I visited Boots first to make sure I got the things I was in need of before wasting it on other stuff, I was a good girl and avoided the make-up counters at all costs....
I visited Boots first to make sure I got the things I was in need of before wasting it on other stuff, I was a good girl and avoided the make-up counters at all costs....
As you can see I stocked up haha, Ive never used Boots' own cleansing wipes before, but saying as they were on offer I thought I would give them a go, I only use them for fixing my makeup (mascara marks etc) so I guess they cant do much harm.
I like to just shove my hair up in the warmer weather out of the way, and it came to my attention the other day when I went to do so and I had one hair bobble left and of course all of my hair grips have ran away, so some more were needed.
At the minute Im using David's Mam's Tresseme for thick frizzy hair. This is not doing anything good for my thin flat hair so I invested in the Aussome Volume set from Aussie. Ive never used them but heard great things about Aussie so I thought I would give them a go :)
The VO5 Volume Mousse is my Holy Grail hair mousse. I ran out of it a few month ago and Ive jsut been using TIGI Bedhead Superstar Queen For A Day Spray instead, but I really prefer the combination of this with a bit of TIGI Superstar Blowdry Lotion. Cant wait to get my old hair routine back!
I took a ander over to New Look and picked up these few summer essentials...
I really like aviator shades but my head is comically small and can make big sunglasses look ridiculous on me. tried these on and they are just right for me, they still look fairly oversized, but in a good way, looooove them and their pricetag of only £2.99.
Ive seen these a few times on trips into New Look and have wanted them each time. I know its a good item if I see it a few times and still want it just as much each time, so this convinced me to get these. New Look shoes always seem good quality for the price as these were only £15. Theyre more corally in real life and I think I'll get a lot of wear out of them over summer.
It was actually impossible for me to get a good shot of these shorts, Ill have to do an OOTD to do them justice. These were such a nuaghty impulse buy for me as I just seen them and took them straight to pay for them. I didnt try them on or anything but luckily when I got them home they look good. Theyre so soft and light for summer and I can match them with anything. I originally wanted to get them in the more burnt orangey colour but Iim really glad I got these instead as they suit my skin (when its St Moriz'd) and will go with more things. Loveeee them :)
Quite a successful trip into town me thinks!

Haul: Recent Purchases
Firstly by the title of this post you ill guess that I have indeed broke my mae-up buying ban for lent. But some of these came just before Lent and apart from that you will see I havnt really got THAT much.
When I go out and buy just one or to random products I sometimes feel as though a haul type post may be a bit of a waste, so I've waited a few weeks and here they are together, the few things Ive bought recently...
When I go out and buy just one or to random products I sometimes feel as though a haul type post may be a bit of a waste, so I've waited a few weeks and here they are together, the few things Ive bought recently...
Avon Angled Brush: I havent used this yet but the bristles feel really soft and it looks great for contouring, I didnt have an angled brush like this so felt it as a good investment while they were on sales for only £3...bargain!
Barry M Nail Paints: Dusky Mauve was a bit of a disappointment for me, it looks beautiful in the bottle really purpley with irridecence, however after a few coats its much more grey, with only a slight hint of mauve and you can barely see the sparkle. Its still a nice colour, just nothing like I was expecting. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of it on, its a bit chipped now so I tohugh it best to leave it.
Strawberry Icecream looks like a lovely baby pink summery colour. I havent tried it out yet but I just think it'll be alovely pastel shade for springtime, plus its an excuse for me to break away from my darks and nudes that Ive been glued to all winter.Johnsons Daily Essentials Cleansing Wipes: Im nearly finished these now, I go through wipe slike theres no tomorrow. Hoever I really dont like these. They claim to be good at getting off waterporoof mascara, and theyre just not at all. They sting my eyes and leve an awful greasy residue all over my face. I wont be buying them again, but you win some you lose some.
Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner in Sippin and Dippin: Ive had a bit of a love/hate relationship since I got this. Id heard comparisons of these to MAC paintpots, and since I love those I thought I would give this a go. Firstly, on me this jsut isnt creaseless at all. Ive worn it alone, or with shadow and either way it still creases rather a lot, which I find anoying considering its name! However it is a lovely colour, and its ok if I wear a base underneath, but I think Ill be sticking to MAC's paintpots ahead of these from now on. Although I must say Benefit's colour selection is much better than MACs for these products.

Review: S&G Scrub Your Nose In It
Hi all! Feels like ages since I wrote anything on here, and theres really not a good excuse. But I dont feel as though one needs to explain why they have a break from their hobby, I feel as though a break now and then is good and it refreshes my mind and hen I start blogging again I remember why I love it :) Also my camera is lost (i know Little Miss Clumsy) so for today theres not any of my on photos.
So, I was in the bath this morning using this particular product and decided its about time I reviewed this. I dont review enough products, only if I really love ti or hate it, and on this occassion I LOVE this!
Soap and Glory always in my over ith their lovely packaging, funny product names and distinctive scents, many of their products are my holy grail scrubs, body butters, shower gels etc etc. I thought Scrub Your Nose In It looked pretty but as'nt sure about ho effective it would be.

Firstly I just want to say I really love multipurpose products like this. Its a face scrub, but can also be used as a really good clay face mask, or really anywhere in between. Most times when I use this I tend to smooth this onto my face and leave it for a few minutes beforfe scrubing it in and washing it off, then you kind of get the face mask and the scrub in one.
Its not something I would recommend for sensitive skin though, although the grains in it are small theyre still rather abrasive, which personally I love but I kno many dont. It smells fresh like a lot of other face masks, and nothing like the typical S&G smell. Its really tingly, and some might say it stings a bit when its left on as a face mask, but my skin is reall resilient so it just fells like its really getting a good deep clean. It leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh which is of course my main aim from using it.
Its also not too expensive at around £5 for 125ml, which I think is reasonable considering it does a much better job (and serves two purposes) in comparison to others of a similar price.
Its honestly the best face scrub Ive ever came across and Ill continue to repurchase again and again :) LOVE it!

No7 and Poppy King: The Magic of Lipstick
Boots No7 have collaborated with the wonderful Poppy King to create a range of 7 lipsticks and matching lipglosses to celebrate the wonders of lipstick. Each lipstick has a name which is relevant to the colour as thought up by Poppy King herself, as a lipstck expert, Poppy has came up with colours that are wearable for most people and dont appear too "scary" to even go near. However theyre buildable and can be built up to make a statement or worn sheerer. The colours lok something lke this...
All of these shades look right up my street, although I dont know which ones are which from this photo I really like the look of the fourth, fifth and sixth ones in the line up. Also, how cute is the packaging...love the polkadots!
Anyone else think theyll be having a look at the Poppy King lipsticks next time theyre in Boots?

My Blush/Bronzer Collection
Just a quick post today as Tuesdays are always very busy college days for me....this isnt intended to boast, I have a rather modest collection, and I did try to make this post useful but the swatch photos came out horrific...if you want any reviews on specific products just ask and I'll be happy to oblige :)
Top: Elf All Over Colour Stick in Persimmon, Benefit Posie Tint, Loreal Blush Minerals in Soft Mauve
Middle: GOSH Natural Blush in Juicy Peach, Natural Collection Pink Cloud, MAC Ladyblush Blushcreme, MAC MSF Petticoat
Bottom: Bourjois Bronzer in 52, MeMeMe Shimmy Shimmers Pink Shimmer, ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzer, Benefit Powder Pop
Bourjois Bronzer: This is a recent purchase and its already my go to bronzer for contouring, and when I've tanned I use it all over, it also smells amazing and I love that its matte.
Benefit Powder Pop. This contain Dandelion which I dont use much, Coralista which is gorgeous and Dallas which is my favourite bronzey blush ever, Ill be buying the full size of it for sure.
MeMeMe Pink Shimmer Brick: I got this as a cheaper alternatives to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks, its really nice for a giving a good pink blush wih a shimmery glow, and I like that you can choose whether you want the lighter or daker colours or all together.
GOSH Juicy Peach: This is the most pigmented blush EVER, so you really have to use a light hand, if you dont put too much on, Ive made this mistake too often, it can look really b eautiful especially with a tan.
MAC MSF Petticoat: This isnt really a blush so I dont know why I put it in here, but it give s a nice pinky highlight and is brilliant for light skin tones I think I'll be using this as my highlight in the colder months.
ELF Blush and Bronzer: This blush is amazing for the money, its one of my favourites. I used the bronzer to death but its shimmery so I use my Bourjois one more now and just use this on areas I wan a bit of shimmer like my legs.
MAC Blushcreme Ladyblush: So sad they changed these as this is now one of myvery favourites, I love creme blushes and this colour is so pigmented and beautiful I could chuck all my others away and just have this.
Natural Collection: Considering these products are really cheap this is a really good everyday blush, its very buildable and can give a nice flush to cheeks especially in winter on cooler skin colours.
Loreal Blush Mineral in Soft Mauve: I like the colour of this but dont use it much as mineral products can be a bit messy, it is handy for taking out for touch ups though as the brush is in it. The brush isnt bad quality either.
Elf Colour Stick in Persimmon: I hate the smell of this, it smells really strange, but it does give a nice colour and I ued to use it everyday, I think I might come back to it a lot through the summer as its a nice peachy shimmery colour, a bit mroe of a highlight than a blush.

How Times Have Changed
I realise after Ive read through this that its an incredibly personal post and many people wll cringe at the fact Ive put this on here, but I really dont care I find it theraputic to think back over stuff and write it down. If you dont want to hear me moaning on about missing people click away now haha xx
I was just reading through my Year 11 leavers book and looking on my old myspace account and its brought back all of the old memories of that time in my life, and made me realise how different my life is now.
I realise this is of no interest to anyone but I feel like writing it down. The friends that have wrote in this book saying all of these lovely things and writing down all of the good memories we had together, we would have thought we would never grow apart. If truth be told, a fair number of the people whove wrote those lovely messages, I said goodbye to them on the last day of school in floods of tears and have never seen them
since.

But its the closer relationships that have changed, developed, and some that have completely dissapeared that get me thinking the most.

In school, there wasnt much of a great selection of boys in our year if Im honest, there was only a handful that were acceptable. Us girls used to panic and for some reason had it in our heads that this was it, we were never to find nice boys, ever. This made life incredibly difficult when you fall head over heels for the one person that everyone else has a crush on, and you have to put up with it constantly, this person will always be known as "the one that got away". Especially as there was a time when we rang each other for HOURS every day, which jsut didnt materialise, much to my dismay, but I guess everything happens for a reason?

This infatuation I had developed led me to "dump" my current boyfriend, who everyone whos ever met him will agree is an awful person. So at least something good came from it, and if I had never got rid of him and had "the one that got away" completely muck me around then I probably would never have met David. But I cant say that all 9 months was a total mistake because after all he did make me laugh and was lovely to me for the most part.
Its funny how things turn out, I then met David through a wierd connection of him being my friends, boyfriends, friend (if that makes any sense). This partcular friend at the time was literally the best friend I could think to have, because of an awful boy she now rarely sees me, and it really breaks my heart because that best friend connection we had is now gone. Had you told me this in school I would never of believed you.

This strange stage of my life occoured when I left school, we befriended this group of lads because they knew her and her boyfriend, and David was one of them. There was also someone else who I had this thing for, and on the SAME DAY, they both asked me out. For a girl of 17 who has jsut got out of a ridiculous relationship with an overgrown toddler, this is too much to handle haha. Anyway I had my decision made for me by one of the lads who saw it was tearing me up, so I ended up with David who I had only met twice.
I know, Im crazy. But its the best decision Ive ever made.
And its not just with lads, these so many friends who Ive got to really like being around, even people like my Dad has had grilfriends and Ive made really good friends with them and their family and then they break up and its like Ive lost that whole group of people that I love. Its wierd and sometimes horrible the way things go
This post was kind of pointless, I was just reflecting on how people can be so important in your life for so long, and then they change, or they just leave for some reason, and sometimes you might miss them a lot, but it might seem wierd to just go "Hey, I miss you". Maybe these people go so they can be replaced by someone better, but sometimes it seems so pointless and your just missing someone so important to you.

Weekly Summary #8
- I know youre probably bored of hearing me blabber on about college, but right now its a big part of my life. This week I really feel like Ive actually been getting somewhere and have ticked a lot of assignments off my to do list, rather proud of myself actually :)
- Typical of me I see my Graze box of healthy goodies and pick up the giant bag of Milkyway Magic Stars beside it and basically swallow its contents whole. I'll never achieve a healthy lifestyle, I like junk food to much.
- Friday night ended up consisting of rather expensive cocktails in Floritas, cosmopolitans with freshly squeezed craberries, YUM...
-...Then on to Dirty Pop which i so amazing when youre rather drunk, or by any means are a completely hyper person sober. Highlghts included Alright - Supergrass, You and Me - The Wannadees, Never Forget - Take That, and to finish off Your Song- Elton John. Yes, this place is fantastic haha, and theres a bouncy castle! We were ridiculously drunk and ended up in group hugs for half of songs, wierd. Im going to do a FOTD from this night if youre interested.

Before Cosmopolitans
After...Me and my favourites thinking we're Ali G, just NO!
- My weekend has been rather chilled, sitting in the sun reading Heat and other mindless magazines anddrinking way too much Ribena. Today is sunday so my usualy Sunday ritual will consist of reading up on blogs, a nice long bath, then off to Mamas for Sunday dinner and a nice rest in the garden then off to visit Grandma for tea and homemade cakes in the conservatory, cos shes cute like that
Hope you've all had a lovely week and enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday

NOTD...Pink Lemonade
Im kind of undecided about this polish...Its Pink Lemonade from Boot's 17 range. I got ths in a youtube giveaway around september time so I, unsure of the exact price but I think its only a few pounds. I love the colour, it took two coats to get it looking like it does here, but it really does represent its namesake.
I do have a few gripes with this though, Ive only had it 6 months and already its completely ridiculous to use. It was fine when I first used it 6 months back, but now I tried today and its so thick and gloopy and really hard to work with. The brush isnt dense at all and the sparse bristles stick out at all angles making it hard to apply the polish precisely. I managed though, and got the look below. But then an hour or so later I noticedugly looking ubbbles comnig up through the gloss looking like awful little bumps all over the polish. I guess this happens when it is applied thicky and air gets trapped, but this was unavoidable because of its consistency.

The colour is way more vibrant in real life, more corally peachy than it looks here, damn camera! Anyway I think I will have to get rid of this bottle and maybe buy a new one because really love this shade for spring
