My Current MAC Collection...and new additions!

I know some people hate collection posts and think it looks like showing off, but I like reading them, so Im gunna go ahead and do this one :) I dont have some kind of crazy collection, but I do love the products I have,including the new sneaky purchases that broke my P10P rules to show you. So I thought I could share them with you and recommend every single one of them.

Because its getting dark outsid I had to use lamp light, and my camera is bloody rubbish, so although I took about 50 swatch photos and have products all over my hands, they didnt come out good. Luckily I would say all of the products pay off jsut liek they look in the pan so let your imagination do the work this time :)

 Firstly the 217 Blending Brush...its the only brush Ive ever splashed out n from Mac but I hoenstly use it everyday, its transformed my eyeshadow application. It really pays to get good brushes.

 MSF Natural in Medium....This is my favourite setting powder for after Ive done all my face make-up, lovely, lovely powder.

Studio Fix Fluid in NW15...I think I should have bought NC15, but this is a good summer colour for me...Yes, with a tan Im still only NW15 =/. I use this everyday too and love it.

 Ladyblush Blushcreme is my favourite product for layering blush at the minute. Its the only creme blush I own and it gives a gorgeous colour pay off if you use a light hand. I love to put on a small amount of this then a powder blush on top to give depth and staying power.

Sheertone Shimmer Blush in Springsheen is one of my new naughty purchases. I have no excuse, I just liked it a lot. It gives a lovely summery peachy colour with a goldy shimmer that means you dont need to use a separate highlight. Im so glad I broke my rules and bought this, my new summer blush of choice!

Blance Type (matte) is my other naughty purchase. But I didnt have a highlight colour so I felt I could justify it. It jsut a little lighter than my skintone so is a lovely all over lid colour for those days when I dont want to look like Im wearing heavy make-up. It also gives a nice natural looking brow highlight for daytime which doesnt look too much is daylight.

Vintage Selection Paint Pot was part of the Champale collection. I swatched it, walked around the Metro Centre for an hour pndering it and decided I needed it in my life. Im so glad I got it though, Its an amazing base, this stuff wont budge, and shadows over it wont either. Ive worn it with black shadows over it on night time...came home worse for wear and left my make-up on and woke up in the morning and my shadow was perfect. Now thats good staying power! Also it looks gorgeous alone too, so sparkly and lovely.

All That Glitters (Veluxe Pearl) is my most used eyeshadow ever, such a good all over lid goldy colour, it will match with any colour Ive ever tried through the crease. I would recommend this to everyone

Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl) was my first ever MAC eyeshadow. I will always love this, its the perfect browny goldy tone to make the blue in my eyes really stand out.

Satin Taupe (Frost) is my favourite eyeshadow ever ever ever! It can be applied lightly for through the day and look lovely or can really be packed on for a sultry smokey night time look. Its so versatile and a gorgeous colour. If I could only have one MAC shadow it would be this.

Big Baby Plushglass is the only lipgloss kinda product I own from MAC (must sort this out soon!). I love the smell, like freshly baked shortbread biscuits. The colour is gorgeous alone or over most lipsticks. I never really stick to jsut one gloss, but this one is my must have and I use it ALOT. However its around £16 so I dont wanna use it too quickly, but its really addictive.

So sad that Viva Glam Gaga (Lustre) is discontinued and I didnt get a back up. Its much more wearable than it appears in the tube, and I love it both when Im pale or when Im (fake) tanned.

I picked up Shy Girl (Cremesheen) on a whim and I really do enojy it as a daytime colour. Its about as nude as I will go as I hate concealer lips look.But this is sort of peachy nude so I like it.

Bombshell (Frost) is a lovely pinky colour which I find wearable for daytime as well as gorgeous for night time. I use this the most out of my Mac lipsticks, and really love the look it gives.

I bought Ravishing on the recommendation of a MAC girl (I hate this term but what else should I say?) which I never normally would do. But I had a million swatches on my hand, originally going for a coral then liking themore muted tones. But she convinced me to go for this as it was about the only coral I hadnt swatched...as the rest all seemed really scary bright to me. As soon as I seen it swatched, it was love and I instantly knew that was the one I had to have. I may sound dramamtic over a lipstick, but I was THAT excited by it. Everytime I apply it I feel as though its a good smmers day (even when it rains all summer here). I cant wait to wear this on holiday nights out to brighten up my look.

Project 10 Pan Progress

Ok so I have totally failed Project 10 Pan by making a few sneaky MAC purchases this week....a post coming soon! But anyway Im setting that aside and continuing with it.

I finished up my Batiste Dry Shampoo...but I decided not to include any items that I will rush out and buy the exact product again. This is the only dry shampoo I buy and I consider it a must have so this wont count in the P10P.

However I did finish up both of these products this week...

ELF Complexion Perfection

I know it claims to perfect the look of your skin, and looks a little crazy with the four colours, but I found this jsut to be a really nice translucent powder. Ill definately be repurchasing after the P10P because its so affordable, really lovely, and lasted me around 10 months now!

Avon Senses Tropics Stimulating and Exotic Body Scrub
This was more like a shower gel with kind of scrubbing particles spattered through it. It didnt really do much exfoliating that I could see really. I just used it like a normal shower gel recently to use it up. It smells quite nice, but I wouldnt advise it if youre looking for a good scrub really. I wouldnt really consider buying this again, as its a bit of a nothing product to me.

My Holy Grail...Foundation

I thought a nice idea for a kind of series on my blog woul be to show you guys what I consder to be my holy grail options from each kind of beauty product. I think its a goo way to see what proucts are good as they are my ultimate must haves, my cant-live-without products.

Rather than do one huge long post Im going to do inividual posts for each item, for its own chance for the spotlight, so I can really talk about what I love about them.

So first up...foundation. It may or may not come as a suprise o you that my choice is Bourjois Healthy Mix. Although I do use Macs Studio Fix Fluid every day recently, its not quite Holy Grail standard to me, I love Healthy Mix wayyy more,sorry Ive got no swatches, my camera woulnt play nice :(

I currently have the shade 52 vanilla, which at the time I didnt know would be a little too dark for me. Its my more summery colour for when my skin is more tanned, but for winter I know Ill have to buy shade 51, which Im fine with as its reasonably cheap...I bought it for around £10 in December.

As its a "drugstore" foundation I wasnt expecting miracles, but it really is the best foundation Ive tried, and I would say Ive tried a vast amjority of the drugstore foundations currently on the market. I would say for sure its definately the best available, however I cant speak for more expensive brans as I havent had much experience with them.

Another are that make sit good value is its packaging. Fair enough, its not really a pretty bottle you would want to display on your dressing table but its good value as the way it pushes the prouct up the bottle as it gets used up means it uses up every single drop of the foundation. You can see this as over time the foundation is pushed higher up the bottle, an the bottle leftbehin is totally clear so when you get 30ml, you really will use 30ml an not have half of it left caked inside the bottle. Ii also like that it has a pump so its easy to control how much you want from the bottle.


I personally am a huge fan of the dewy look. I dont aim for a matte face ever really as I fear it looking too fake. I like to look fresh faced, and this foundatino provides this. It gives a really good coverage which suprised me as other more dewy foundations I have tried in the past give poor coverage (Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect and Rimmel Beyond Nautral Im talking to you), and this really stands out against them because of this.

The bottle claims it will last 16 hours, not that Ive ever timed it (which I probably should when Im reviewing it...bag blogger), but I would say this foundation generally lasts all day on me. I always set it with a powder anyway as I do with any foundation, but this one does seem to last well like it says it will. I like how it says it contains fruits such as apricto and melon and says they will provide raiance, hydration, anti-oxidants and enery to the skin. Now, this could all be in my head, but I notice an improvement in my skin when I used this everyday. I converted to Macs Studio Fix Fluid, and I wouldnt say that it broke me out, it just dint give my skin a glow like this did. When I use this regularly my skin is actually much better overall, which is brilliant!

Oh, and I mention it smells gorgeous!

Help please!? Yet Again

I feel like Im always asking you guys for help with blogger these days...but Im such a technophobe so I need all the help I can get!

My blog is set to display 6 posts at once, and no matter what I change this to it will only ever display two...It never used to do this! Anyone know how to fix this?

FOTE...Sugar Plum

There is literally nothing on at the cinema at the minute, Ive seen everything thats out right now so when my friend I havent seen in a while asked me to go with her the only film left to see was Kung Fu Panda 2....We were 2 of about 10 people in the whole screening, which isnt suprising for a childrens film on at 8pm. Anyway, I idnt go overboard with my make-up saying as I was to be sat in the dark for hours, but I slapped on a lipstick that I always say is my favourite but havent been reaching for since the winter months. Last night really rekinled my love for it....a lovely bright pink with blue undertones (hello pearly whites) that lasts for hours!

Bloggers Block

As some of you may or may not have noticed, I havent been posting nearly as much as I usually do. Its not that I dont want to or have become disinterested, I still read the blogs in my reading list every single day. I just havent got a clue what I could write about. Personal posts about my life seem like they would be boring for anyone to read, which saw the end of my weekly summaries. Literally the only thing Ive been posting properly are FOTDs. 

Honestly, I need some proper inspriation, and I dont think life as I know it is feeding me enough of it. So, I still love you guys, and Im thankful fro all 205 of you! My brain is jsut in lock down right now and hopefully Ill have some kin of epiphany with loads of good ideas to write about and Ill be back in with the swing of things.
