Currently Loving...#2

Changed The Way You Kissed Me - Example
When this is released I feel it may be one of the songs of the summer, love it already! Its been my favourite song to get me motivated to do my work, but it usually makes me jsut want to be out having a good time.

Leaving College
Yes I go on about this a LOT, but I have three days left then I leave the hell hole for good, never been so excited!

Barry M's Pink Flamingo Polish
It looks Barbie pin in daylight, and more corally at ngiht times, which I kinda like. Its just the perfect bright pink without looking too bright and tacky. Currently wearing it on my fingers and toes, perfect for the summer time

Buying nice aftershave as a present for Davids birthday
He feels good about himself, and I get to sniff the beuaitufl scent whenever I like, win win situation. Ive bought him the male version of Hugo Boss Orange, the one with Orlando Bloom in the advert, which basically sold it to me straight away.

Wearing less make-up
Never thought I;d say this but Ive been wearing a lot less makeup recently. Ive been a bit of a hermit for about a month, having so much college work to do Ive either been at home, at college, in the library or asleep...so I have only been using blush, MSF Natural, brown eyeliner and one coat of mascara. I think its done my skin the world of good a nd its much easier to remove at night time! MSF Natural give the tiniest bit of coverage to just make your skin look a little fresher, and less oily and its a must in my make-up routine, even the most minimalist of days.

Ordering online
Currently got three outfits in the post for me to choose from for Davids birthday celebrations, I thought I would treat myself for the occasion and cant wait for them to arrive. Hope theyre all nice though, I hate it when things come an they arent as you expected. I ordered from Missguided two dresses an some wedges, and found a gorgeous playsuit in the Republic sale for only £10, bargain!

Donuts.
Yes, Ive been obsessed. I dont care right now how bad they are for me, theyre my cravings through my time of stress and have been my favourite indulgence saying as I havent bene really going anywhere. Anything from Krispie Kreme will do nicely :)

Favourite Nail Polishes For Summer!

The nail polishes I love totally change depending on the weather and the seasons. A few months ago I would have told you I would quite happily wear Barry M's Raspberry and Navy forever more. But then the sunshine came out, and suddenly my nails looked so wintery compared to the weather, and out came the lights and brights.

Heres my very favourites for the sunny weather...
Sorry for hte photo quality, my cameras on its last legs now :(
L-R
Accessorize "Aztec" - This is a polish that looks multicoloured depending on the way the light hits it, it looks really dark in the bottle but wen its on and the suns hitting it it looks bright and multi tonal and just amazing. Ive had so many compliments on this, it really stands out. You can see it better in this post.

Eyeko "Lilac Polish" - These polishes are really good quality and last ages on your nails. I love this lilacy colour, very springtime!

Eyeko "Nude Polish" - This is a really good summery nude. Not a dark browny nude, its quite light but not too light, just the right light peachy nude to have clean polished looking nails, lovely.

Avon Speed Dry "Coral Sands" - This is part of the Arabian low range of Avon products so its made to be perfect for the summer time. This is such a pretty peachy coral with gold and bluey  irridesence through it. It really sparkles nicely in the sun, but not in a glitter chunky way. This was the only nail polish I took with me on my last holiday to Majorca, its perfect for summer tanned skin

Barry M "Strawberry Ice Cream" - This is the perfect pastel baby pink polish. So creamy and very opaque, which is god as many baby pink polishes can be very sheer. Of course it has the fabulous quality of Barry M polishes too. I always feel very girly when I wear this, its so pretty.

Barry M "Pink Flamingo" - This is the perfect bright summer polish. If you love really bright happy colours for the summer this is a must have. Its almost neon, but not in a cheap way. It stands out and looks amazing on. Im going to be wearing this a lot I can tell.

Barry M "Coral" - This is a true coral colour, very strong and orangey, and would look amazing with a tan. It compliments all of my summer outfits and Ive been wearing it toes constantly since I bought it. It never budges either unless you want it to, I cant praise Barry M polishes enough, just fantastic

My Nightly Facial Routine

I dont know about any of you guys but this whoel blogger breaking thing has left me so confused, posts that were put up last week are now being re-put up as part of them fixing it so my blog rolls all mixed up, AND I spent hours on Thursday making about 7 new pages to put at the top of my blog for you guys and now theyre gone :( Just hope they retunr by magic as I put loads of effort into them.

...Anyway! I decided it might be a nice idea to show you how I take care of ym skin at night before I go off to the land of dreams. Its not by any mean a perfect routine, and I know I will find better products int eh future, but Im on a tight budget and these leave my skin feeling clean ad fresh and make-up free, which is really my aim when Im too tired to move to go to the sink!

Cleansing Wipes
These are a bad example as they arent really my favourites, they were just cheap! I love he Off Your Face ones from S&G and suprisingly the Primark ones are really good too. I just use face wipes to get the bulk of my make-up off at first before continuing with the rest of my routine. I cant let myself jsut stop at this step because I jsut dont feel like Im fully rid of my make-up.

Cleanser with Cotton Wool Pad
I just use a milky cleaser like this as it means lazy me doesnt haveto go to th bathroom, fill the sink and clip my hair back, but when I finaly invest in the Liz Earle Cleanser then I will be so much more motivated to be less lazy! At the minute I use this Garnier SImple Essentials one, its really basic but it smells fresh and leaves your skin feeling lovely and clean but soft at the same time, I really liek it considering it was less than £3.00.

Toner & Cotton Wool Pad
I think toner is an essential step in facial care that too many miss out. It takes all of the excess cleanser off, as well as any final unmissed make-up and dirt. I know it does all sorts of technical stuff but I really like this for just rounding up the cleaning stage of my routine as it feels nice and cooling and smells nice. I find this Body Shop Vitamin E one doesnt dry your skin out or make it feel tight like others can and its just lovely.

Eye Cream
I use this is the morning as well as at night now, its the Avon Botanicals one, and is the first eye cream Ive owned. I ant to look after the delicate skin around my eye area as much as possible to try and avoid crows feet and wrinkles as long as possible (yes I know Im 19, but you can never start too early, right?). Also this is just a really nice moisturiser for my eye area too, and smells so fresh and is really cooling. I jsut feel like Im doing my skin some good with this. However it might be a really rubbish eye cream compared to others as Ive never tried any apart from this, even though I do really like it. If you have any recommendations for me to try please leave them below :)

Moisturiser
Depending on how dry my skin feels and what kind of mood Im in I will switch up my night time moisturiser. Personally I dont think theClinique Dramatically Different Lotion is as amazingly moisturising as is said about it, I find it to be the lgihtest moisturiser I own. I tend to choose this one when I want a lighter lotion especially in the summer time. The good old Nivea Cream is my go to option when my skin feels really tight and dry and this gives is such a big serving of pure moisture. I love how thick it is and you only need a tiny bit so it lasts forever, and I particularly like this in the winter time. I cant go without moisturiser, and these are jsut my choices at night time not for through the day and the Clinique is too light, and the Nivea takes a while to dry and leaves a creamy sheen which is only acceptable for bed time!

Brows
I had never considered doing anything to my eyebrows before bed until I bought this ELF Eyebrow Treat and Tame. Now I use the "treat" side every night before I go to bed, I think its meant to promote growth or something, and psychologically it makes me feel like Im doing them some good somehow. Ive only had it about a week so I cant commetn on if its actually done anything or not yet, but I do like it. It sinks in quite nicely and doesnt sit like a horrible gel on your lashes like I thought it might, so Im happy to contine using it. I also LOVE the tame side for through the day, really fantastic.

Lip Balm
I cant go to sleep without applying a good thick lip balm first. This basic Nivea one is my lip balm of choice at the minute. I love to slather them on thick for through the night which probably looks horrible and isnt something you would want to walk around in the day time sporting on your lips. So this is a must for night time to get my lips silky smooth for lipstick through the day. I do have quite a selection, and use Carmex through the day, but again any recommendation would be fantastic :D

NOTD...My New Absolute Favourite!

Gosh it feels like a millino years since I did a NOTD considering I wear nail polish every day of my life...

The photos do this polish no justice at all, I could seriously sit and lok at it in different lights all day, and its Aztec by Accessorize. Depending on how the light hits on it its a shimmer mixture of gold, blue, green and pinky purple. It kinda looks like when petrol has been spilt on the ground and it leaves that rainbow effect.

This photo makes it look so dull so I included the wierd thumb shot below to give a better idea of it...but you really have to see it on in person to understand how gorgeous it is. I noticed tt actually looked amazing under the water when I was sat in the bath as the light was jsut bouncing off it in so many colours.

Its also grat for only £4, and it gets this opaque in two thin coats, and is really quick drying. They do a few other polishes with a similar effect but different shades which I think I will have to pick up, this polish makes all my others look so flat and boring now its that beautiful

As you can tell, massive thumbs up to Accessorize Aztec from me :)

Dry Brushes in 4 Hours...Really?

Now I bet Im not alone when I say I hate washing my brushes, not because I dont want them clean, but because they take so long to dry and you cant use them for ages, usually I have to leave them over night....But those days are over!

There has been a new addition to the Sigma range called "Dry'n'Shape. This wonderful little thing drys  your brushes in only 4-6 hours, AND they will be in their perfect shape good as new! It works by the special fabric applying pressure to the bristles of the brush to make the water evaporate quicker. This is priced at US$29.00...which I think is brilliant especially as you cant get this anywhere else!

They are available to buy now so click HERE to find out more on the site!

Haul: Accessorize

This is just a short haul post but I thought I could show you guys anyway, I popped into Accessorize to pick up some of these....

I already owned the black ones, and have had them for 3 years..they lasted me for 3 summers and 5 holidays until eventually last week they gave up the ghost and fell to bits. I wasnt really bothered saying as they are only £8, are SOOO comfortable and lasted so long.  decided to pick them up in the denim kind too for a bit of variety, I jsut thnk theyre really easy to pair with any outfit for summer and you dont get loads of wierd tan lines on your feet ala gladiator sandals.

I couldnt resist sneaking a peak at the make-up, but I didnt have a lot to spend so I picked up this nail polish in "Aztec" for £4. It reminds me of spilt petrol, with all the different colour reflecting in different lights, sometimes it pink, red, purple, blue or green!

Its also lovely and sparkly, I cant wait to use this polish!

Currently Loving...

m feeling rather happy and optimistic so I tohught I could just do posts every now and again when theres things Im particularly loving...

Beautiful Man

Colin Egglesfield - This gorgeous man was a main character in Something Borrowed which I went to see at the cinema on Friday (its good!). I spent most of my time drueling over this new favourite of mine. Jut go ee the film, pictures dont do him justice, cant wait to be Mrs Egglesfield!

Music:

Forget You - Cee Lo Green: Still love this, especially since a friendly taxi driver sang it with me on the way home from a rather good night out and we decided that a part of the ong sounds like Tigger, listen and you will understand and smile :)
Buzzin - Mann: A ong couldnt ound more like it wa plucked from a 90's summer evening if it tried, cant help but love it.
E.T - Katy Perry: Being the huge KP fan that I am it goes without saying that this song is awesome!

Beauty Product:
ELF Powder Brush: This has transformed my foundation, I am in foundation heaven with this, I need to do a full rave review because this is just amazing!

Food:
Giant ASDA chocolate cookies, warmed up in the microwave for around 10 seconds to melt all the chocolate pieces, HEAVEN!

Just a hint of whats been making me smile today!

Disapponting Products #3

Dove Summer Glow Body Lotion in Fair to Normal
I was one of the girls who jumped on the gradual tanner wagon a few years ago, and I put up with it for years, and now I realise how crap this stuff is! I was too chicken to try full false tan so I just used to buy this, and havnt used it for ages I found it in a drawer and just chucked it out. It stinks so bad, and the "tan", with this shade especially is barely there and takes so many applications to even build up any sort of colour. I wouldnt really ever use something like this again. I love St Moriz too much now!

Avon Solutions Complete Balance AM/PM Creams
I just couldnt get away wth this product, the smell is a bit wierd, knd of chemically. I ued t for a few weeks and saw no improvement to my skin and prefered my average moisturiser. This clams to balance out your skin which I thought would be good for my combination skin but there was no change at all...The day cream is a bit greasy, and the night cream is lke an awful green gel that leaves your face feeling horrible, so horrible I often took t off and put on a regular moisturiser instead. Its just not nice at all.

See...wierd green gel for bed? No thanks!

Haul: Avon

My monthly Avon delivery wa given to me by my neighbour and Avon rep this morning and I have to say, sometime sI order form Avon for the sake of it, but this time Im really happy with everything Ive got. Before I ordered I looked through my make-up collection and decided I was particularly low on lip products, lip glosses in particular so I made it my mision to find some decent Avon ones...

As you can see a particularly lip-gloss heavy order...

Livv Botanicals Vitalising Eye Cream with SPF 15
Ive been looking for an eye cream for a while but didnt know what to pick as ve never had one before. This was is the sale book for around £3.50 so I picked it up to try. Ive used it a few time now and I have to ay I really like it...thee are only first impressions though so I will have to review later!

Magix Illuminator
I think this i definately a kind of copy for the YSL Touche Eclat. Its kind of a lipquid en concealer and illuminator in one so great for under eyes. I used this on my under eyes this morning and although I cant say there was a great difference, its better than nothing, and considering Ive never used concealer on my under eyes before I think this worked nicely, didnt crease or cake at all either.

Glazewear Silky Shine Lipstick in Pink Apricot
I was instantly attracted to these by the gorgeous sleek rose gold packaging, just beautiful. Also because they say they are oft and moisturising, which I always want in a lipstick and hate it when they highlight dry patches. This colour is right up my street, (swatch below), its really silky smooth and lasts ages. You dont need a gloss either because its perfectly glossy on its own. The colour range is great so I think Ill be picking up more of these! It was only £8 as well which I think is really good considering I prefer the formula and packaging to some of my MAC lipsticks.

Glazewear Shine in Iced Pink
This is a little light for what I would normally choose but it came in a pack of 3 with the 2 in the picture below for only £4 so I couldnt pass it up! It is actually a nice colour, and the glazewear lipglosses are always lovely I find.

Glazewear Shine in Pink Watermelon
I picked this up on its own for around £8 I think, because I was particuarly looking for a lip gloss of this shade. I really love this, the colrou is gorgeou and can be worn sheer for through the day or built up a little to be brighter for night time. I know Ill get a lot of use out of this.

Glazewear Intense in Sundance
This is a very bronzey shade that I would never normally buy alone, but Im glad it came in the set. Its a gorgeous shade when worn alone, and Im glad Ive got the chance to try the Intene lip glosses as they are much more pigmented than the Shine ones. I would definately buy more colours in the future, and Ive suprised myself in really liking this colour too.
Glazewear SPF 15
This is jsut a clear gloss which I actually dont have any of. I wore this today and the formula is lovely and silky without being sticky, which Ive came to love about these Glazewear glosses. I also lov that its SPF15, great for wearing through the day on holiday as a nice alternative to a chapstick.

L-R
Magix Illuminator, heavily swatched and not blended out
Pink Apricot Lipstick
Iced Pink Gloss
Pink Watermelon Gloss
Sundance Gloss

Haul: ELF

This morning I received a lovely little parcel from Elf Cosmetics (or eyeslipsface.com). Im sure many of you know them for their good reputation for inexpensive products and great quality. They were offering free delivery and a free nail polish to celebrate the Royal Wedding, so I thought it would only be rude to ignore such an offer, heres what I bought:

"Light Red" Nail Polish: I havent used this yet, but the other ELF nail polish I own is really ood quality, and  lvoe the colour of this and considering it was free I cant complain!

Powder Brush: This has a fabulous reputation amongst beauty bloggers so it was a must in my shopping basket. Its soooo soft and dense and Ive already used it for my powder and it worked a dream, and I plan on experimenting with usinng it for my foundation tomorrow. Ive heard it compares to the Sigma F80 brush and Im excited to get that to make my own comparisons.

Eye Crease Brush: This is actually wonky as the picture shows, but for £1.50 I cant grumble really. This is just a basic brush for creasework as the ones I have are much thinner and dont work too well.

Hypershine Lipgloss in Vixen: I love the colour of this (see below). I really like the formula of these glosses, they last a while and arent too runny or too sticky, they also smell and taste lovely. I went for a brighter colour saying as before today I realised I didnt own many lipglosses, and no bright ones at all. Ive been wearing this all day and its great even for through the day as its not as bright as it looks in the tube.

Eyebrow Treat and Tame: I bought this jsut for taming my eyebrows really. The "tame" side is a great colour match for my brows and has a thick mascara type wand to catch the brow hairs and it did a great job of keeping them tidy through the day. The "treat" side is meant to promote growth for sparse brows, and this has a kind of lipgloss type brush thing to apply with. Ive applied this tonight when I took of my make-up so I cant report any long term effects, but it doesnt feel wierd and its soaked in nicely so its totally unoffensive and easy to use.

The flash makes it look like I was sitting in the pitch black but I wasnt, also lets all take a seocnd to admire my very grown up pjamas...

This is just swatches of the eyebrows tamer and the vixen lipgloss, both of which I really like.

Im rather pleased with my Elf haul :) I can tick some of these of my Elf wishlist now!

xoxo
