January in Pictures

I think Im going to make this a monthly thing, some photos Ive taken each month. It may not be too interesting to readers I guess but its like a kind of photo diary to look back on :) Anyway, here we go...

New Years Day, Windermere, posin with the lake

Im so immature.

Mmmm Chocolate cake!

One day, I'll make this

Blurry New Years photo

Too many Blue Lagoons! David nicely made the rest B&W, looks even worse now.

We asked for a taxi into town and got a 30 seater coach. My friends will appreciate me putting this here haha!

A few naughty pitchers in Yates'

Kissin'

One in the loos

I bought the keyring of this, £3, rip off!  Amy looks angry haha.

I loooooove my girls :)

Hmm...perhaps I need to take my camera places more. The only photos I have are always taken when were out, had a few too many and look rather worse for wear. Theyre the funniest of times though.

Ebay Sale

So I finally got round to de-cluttering my wardrobe, a lot of it was old stuff that has seen better days, so off to the carity shop three black bags went.
But there were a few items that I thought were decent enough to stick on ebay, I stuck to strictly clothes Ive enver actually worn at all before, I think old worm clothes would be a waste of my time really, and I would have had too many to put up. But Ive had a good clear out anyways, my wardrobe as starting to remind me of the one on 27 Dresses where the doors cant shut...

Ive been on ebay for the past THREE hours putting things up there. Like I say, everything up for sale is completely brand new, tag or no tag. Im not like the sneaky ebayer who claimed an item was unworm and then it arrived at my door with a click in it and bobbly bits. Hmm. =/

I would'nt want to be the person who did that to someone anyway, so I give you my word everything is brand new, please go have a look theres some nice things there that just dont fit me now!

Thankyou beautiful bloggers!
xoxo

10 Day Challenge: Day 10

Day 10: 10 Final Words.

Im not sure how I'm meant to go about this one? An ending sentence with 10 words in, 10 words I like? I dont know at all. I dont know why I would need a finalising sentence, as its only a 10 day challenge, so here my 10 favourite words...pretty random I know.

1. Mixture...I just enjoy how it sounds.

2. Flappable, again another one I think sounds hilarious.

3. Grippage, simply because Karl Pilkington invented it on a podcast I was listening to which had me crying with laughter on a bus.

4. Cuddles, because cuddles are one of lifes simple pleasures.

5. Antidisestablishmentarianism. Because its the longest word in the enlgish dictionary, and I was once being a smart arse in college, and spelt it out off the top of my head. Now Im the class nerd.

6. Twinkle, because it sounds a bit like a twinkle looks. That clearly only makes sense in my head, but there you go!

7. Petal. Dont know why really.

8. Molly, my doggys name.

9. "Falingos", my brothers word for flamingos, hes 13, and still can't say it properly haha.

10. Florida, a nice name for a gorgeous place.

The End :)

10 Day Challenge: Day 9

Day 9: 10 Ways To Win My Heart

1. Be friendly, obviously.

My boyfriend David on the night we met I we were on a night out, had lost all of each others friends and didnt have enough taxi money, so he walked me home (an hours walk) at 4AM to my house, and then slept on my settee. Bless him.

5. Dance with me on nights out. I hate boring boys who refuse to let go and have fun.

6. My friends hink youre fantastic

7. Happily go along with wathcing girly films, comnig shopping etc, I'll sit through football matches, so I expect some enthusiasm back please.

8. Show an interest in my life, my family and friends.

9. Have a gorgeous smile.

10. Just generally dont be a pain in the arse.

Dont want much ;)

I know its lazy not finding his name, but everyone knows him as Mike anyway :)

So I went to the cinema and didnt have time to re-do my make-up so its just my days make-up really. It des'nt really matter as youre sat in a dark room anyway ;) Good excuse to be lazy. I really need a haircut!

Fragrance Direct is a discount fragrance and cosmetics website, which is probably rather well known in the blogging world. I stumbled across it last year when looking online for somewehre to buy ST Moriz tanning mousse, and it cme up in my search. Since then I look on there frequently for make-up bargains. I ordered on Wednesday night at 9pm, and with standard delivery my parcel arrived 10AM Friday morning, well done Fragrance Direct!

Top - Bottom: Coquillage Rose, Fudge Brownie, Mystic Mauve
So far i really like all of these, Fudge Brownie is my first ever brown lipstick but I thought for 99p I would give it a go. Ive got a FOTD coming up as I used it yesterday. I have loads like Mystic Mauve already so this is really in my safety zone, the Bourjois one looks really light and shimmery, I don't think it will be too pigmented but we shall see when I get to use it properly.

I used the minerals concealer this morning, and its just average, I'm not blow away yet but we shall see it may grow on me.

I have yet to use the Bed Head products and the burshes but they look promising :) Im excited to try these out and bring some reviews your way

False Eyelashes Victory!

All my friends know the love/hate relationship I have with false eyelashes, I lvoe them, but I always find them impossible to apply properly. I'm also really fussy so if I get them on and theyre slightly uneven, they have to come off.

I was sat in last night watching Get Him To The Greek (hilarious), and thought I'd give it a go when it wasnt so important whether it worked or not. I'm pleased to report this was the result (excuse the cheesy photo)...

False Lash victory at last! I used eyelure glue that I had from the last attepmt with some Girls Aloud lashes, but I used some E.L.F lashes I got recently. I found the lash applicator I showed in a recent E.L.F haul really helped me, I may be a flase lash convert now.

10 Day Challenge: Day 8

lToday has the potential to be rather busy for me today, a few house viewings with my mam, shopping for a new dress and then off out tonight. It sounds simple but I know itll take forever. So I'm just squeezing this little post in incase I can't get back on later.

Five Good Things for Friday

1. My frangrance direct order has arrived, I cant wait to go over to my Nanas to get it later on! I get my parcels devlivered to her address as I know theres nearly always someone in to get it for me. One fragrance direct haul post coming up! I dont even remember what Ive bought haha.

2. Im going for drinks and to the cinema with David tonight. Weve both had a really stresful kind of week so were jsut gunna chill out, and if I get my way we will see Black Swan which Im dying to see!

3. My friend Hayleigh who moved away a few years ago is making a return to South Shields today, meaning a well needed night out for us girls on Saturday. Just need to decide what to wear.

4. The daffodil buds are coming out in the front garden, hello spring time!

5. Ive found a new love for Cookie Crisp cereal, which is only a good thing as thats the only cereal that seems to be bought in this house.

Disappointing Products #1

Sometimes I find posts about products that havent quite stepped up to the mark to be as interesting and helpful as those that rave about good products. I'm not normally the fussy type with products so its taken me a while to find a few I have a few grumbles and gripes about.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel
Now I'm being overly picky here. But I LOVED the scent when I sniffed at the bottle, however when I use it in the shower its wayyyy too overpowering and not even as nice a smell as when its in the bottle. Also it "irridescent sparkles" are all lying in the bottom of the bottle, and try as I might they wont move. Apart from that, it cleans nicely, and the smell thats left on my skin is just like that of the bottled scent. Just not a fan of it whilst in the shower.

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara
I'd heard some great things about htis product, so I bought a tube for my holidays in waterproof formula. It just stuck my lashes together like spiders legs, only now about 4 mnothy later when it has dried up completely also strange after 4 months, when I havnt even used it much) is it bareable and just alright to use. This might be different in the non-waterproof kind, but I jsut wouldnt recommend this at all. Also the wand is too hard and plasticy for my liking, but I suppose thats just personal preference.

Collection 2000 Eye Definition Liquid Eyeliner
Now for Collection 2000, and their cheap prices, I wasn't expecting miracles. However, after trying out a few different colours in their Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner range, and finding them to be amazing, I thought this would have similar longevity andsuper impressive pgimentation. I can inform you I found it to possess neither of these qualities, which are really key in a decent liquid liner. It aplied fine at first but then at a single touch it crumbled off. Yes, I said crumbled. Whats with that? It took a good few coats to get it properly black as well. A bit streaky and watered down, just not good really.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish
They have a lovely range of colours, and the first time you apply them, they're lovely. Nothing wrong what so ever. However, 2 months down the line, its a useless gloopy mess thats too thick, and impossible to work with. I won't be buying their polishes any more. Get it sorted Rimmel.

Rimmel Hide the Blemish Concealer
This has just never worked for me from day 1. Ive tried a million times to get it to work, fingers, brushes, sponges, nothing can make this look natural. It just cakes over the blemishes, not masking them at all but just making them look worse with crappy concealer slapped over them. This may work ok on red patches, sort of, but any real spots of any kind, just dont use this!

Lush Mask of Magnaminty
I bought this as I used to get terrible acne on my back, and this mask claimed to be a face and back mask. THe first I had ever heard of, so I gave it a go. Firstly it is a horrble dirty green colour, and absolutely stinks of mint, but not in a good way, more of a leafy mint, if that makes any sense. I was willing to overlook putting this strong smell right on my face if it gave good results. I can safely say it didnt do anything for me, at all. It was really thick and hard, so I had to cake it on, I tried it a frew different times, leaving it on for different amounts of time, in the bath, not in the bath etc. Each time when I washed it off, my skin felt no different, if anything I felt like I needed to wash again, which I normally did. I just dont think this mask does anything at all to be honest, sorry Lush.

If anyone has any products to avoid, I'd love you to leave a comment :)

10 Day Challenge: Day 7

Day 7: 10 Important People

Im not sure if I have pictures of everyone, or if they want to be on here so some may remain faceless for now...Some of these may be overly obvious.

1. My mam, shes amazing. The biggest stress head I've ever came across, thats where I must get it from. But she has a heart of gold and puts everyone before herself, which isnt always a good thing. Love you mammy!

2. Ill say my Nanna here, as shes in the picture too. I just love her so much, she's been so good to us its crazy.

L-R. My auntie, my mam, my nanna, and me, on my 18th birthday.

3. My Dad. He's had such a tough time, I just wish some good luck would come his way, he deserves all; the good things in the world. Love you daddy!

4. My Grandma. She plants flowers in little pots and gives them to me, she makes the best ever apple pie, and knits gorgeous slouchy jumpers. Honestly pobably the nicest person Ive ever met.

L-R: My grandma, and my dad, at his 50th birthday.

5. My dearest granda, I miss him so much, still can't believe he's gone. Love you and miss you millions granda xxxxx

L-R: David, Ahmet, and my granda on my 18th birthday.

6. David, my boyfriend. He's put up with me whinging and being a pain in the bum for 2 and a half year, Im a lucky girl.

David in Salou in 2009, really glad he didn't buy that.

7. Ben, my brother. He knows I'm always right, no matter how many of his teenage strops he pulls on me. I just miss how cute he was when he was 3 and not 13. But he's a good kid and I wouldn't change him for the world.

Me and Ben at a family wedding in June 2010

8. I havent got enough spaces for all my friends so I have to pick and choose a few, so here goes. Jen, my best friend. Always has been and always will be. We always think the same, want the same things, were so similar its crazy. Apart from shes so healthy and athletic, and I'm the opposite. Im pretty sure this photo is already floating around my blog somewhere, but I love it, it's framed on my bedroom wall.

Me and Jen when we went to London to see the Spice Girls. How lucky were we!

9. Although its hard to choose just one of my girls, Im going to go with Caroline, we constantly know what each other is thinking by just giving each other "the look". Were always in fits of laughter, and I just love her to bits. Cue crappy ancient webcam photo.

Me and Caroline, in my room in 2007.

10. I know you shouldnt have favourites in your family. But I have 12 cousins, and theres no way I could ever put them all here. Me and Megan are like twins, only Im four years older than her. She may be 15 now, but when shes older there will be some good times to be had I can tell. She comes to me about everything, boys, friends, clothes, make-up. Shes like the little sister I never had, and also rather good at playing with photos...

January Favourites

I'm not at home with my lovely make-up collection, so these are just products that I can think of off the top of my head that I've really loved this month. You could say this will genuinely be the most used things as they're just things that come to mind that I really have loved using. I intend to do reviews on these products on their own as I really do rate them, so this could just be a rather basic favourites post.

Eyeko Big Eyes Mascara

Im going to do a review on this soon so I wont say too much other than I was rather shocked at how good it really is, and now I use it every single day. You can find it on the eyekop website at £8.50, which is cheap for a mascara anyway, and now one of my all time favourites.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Another product I bought just before Christmas, and now I use it every day. My skin actually feels healthier and smoother and this may well be the reason, love it!

MAC Paintpot in Vintage Selection
Ive got a ton of pictures of this Ive jsut kept forgetting to upload, again I intend to do a post on this but really jsut go buy it now, its amazing! Best £13.50 Ive spent this year so far. Ive been wearing it a lot since I got it, just sweeping it over my eyelids and Im done.

Benefit's Dallas as a blush

When I got this for Christmas I thought I could only use it as a bronzer. Turns out its got this lovely pinkish tinge to it, and I've been using it most frequently as a blush. I might actually like it more than Coralista.

E.L.F Eyeshadow Primer
Another product that I've used most days since I bought it. I've talked about it in a previous post, but I still love it just the same, I have neglected my Benefit Lemon Aid since I got this. Highly recommend this!

And some other things I've been loving...

Dancing on Ice
Wild at Heart
(Sunday Nights are good for Tele!)
Going out every Saturday with £15 and having a fantastic time.
Ready to microwave vegetables in good portion sizes, I'm lazy and this encourages me to eat better.
Rihanna, forever and always :)
