Santa Baby #1

I did these posts last year, a few scattered through my blog up until Christmas each containing a few items on my Christmas list....

First up...the Clarisonic Mia. Ive seen too many good reviews of the Clarisonic to not want one of these by now. Im a sucker for anythin thats going to deep clean my skin and this seems like the perfect thing for it!

Ive asked for the Mia as its slightly cheaper for Santas wallet, and from reading into it I dont think its wirth the extra pennies for the original one just for the timer beeping away which would confuse me anyway (its not hard!).

The Mia comes in a laod of different colours, I like the turqouise blue one. I wont bore you with the details on it as Im sure youve heard loads about it already...its basically an electric toothbrush for your face...thats how I explained it to my family haha.

It generally costs around £120 most places but its only £80 on Nordstroms website, bargain!

The next little treat on my list is the Origins inzing Refreshing Eye Cream, which retails at around £21. Ive heard so many rave reveiws about this, and Ive been on the look out for a refreshing and revitalizing morning eye cream for a while. I have such bad puffy eyes when I wake up! Ive seen a little Origins bag peeping round the side of my Mam's wardrobe so she's been a good little elf bless her. I cant wait to try it!

Lots more to come!

Whats in my November Glossybox

Ive been eagerly anticipating this months Glossybox as last months was the first one I got and I really loved it. I was overjoyed when I heard the postman at the door and ran upstairs with my box and turned on my video camera to record opening my box. Turns out, the camera wasnt recording! So I opened it up and revealed its contents in front of nobody. But Im that nice I sat and recorded it again, apart from it was already open, just to show you what was inside and my first thoughts.

Its clear now that people are getting differin products in their boxes, which sometimes I like and sometimes I dont, when I see that other people have something I would have prefered to what I got in mine.

Anyway, heres a sneaky look at what I got in my Glossybox...

And heres the video where I ramble on endlessly like a loon....

My Blog's Birthday

Oh my god I completely forgot it was the 1 year birthday for my blog 3 days ago! I posted my first ever blog post on the 17th of November last year, it was my "Top 3 Lush Bubble Bars" post haha. Its not that good, the photos have disappeared because I didnt know what I was doing back then.

So Im celebrating my blog's birthday right now instead, so Happy Birthday Dollymix962!!! hehe :)

I never imained I would still love my blog and be writing posts over a year later, back then I was extatic to reach 10 followers, and now theres over 200 of you and that makes me soooo happy and overwhelmed that over 200 would want to read anything I type up on here.

Thankyou all so so much for reading my blog and showing an interest, its my little area of escapism where I can find like minded people who actuall enjoy me rambling on about make-up, and it ives my poor boyfriend a rest from me going on to him about it when he doesnt have a clue what it all is anyway.

I had intended to do a thank-you giveaway for my followers who have got this far with me, but of course I forgot so I cant now! Instead Im going to do a special little Christmas giveaway so look out for that startin the 1st of December Im really excited for it!

Love you all!!

I decided to film a video on the products I got in the October Glossybox after Id had a few weeks to test them out and decide what I thought of them...

Apologies for having an awful cold in these videos, my sniffling and croaky video annoys me so Im guessing its annoying for you guys!

Please take a look and if you like you could subscribe, it would mean SOOO much to me!

In a flash another month flies by....This has been one to remember though!

Me with my Dad and my brother Ben at my Uncles 50th Birthday Party.

The view from my balcony in Lanzarote...paradise!

The best family in the world, all of us on the last night of Lanzarote :)

A little burnt and a little tipsy, sat outside Hennessy's in Lanzarote with David

Me with my gorgeous little cousin Ruby on holiday, shes only 2 and the most well behaved child Ive ever met. She spent every second with me she could and I miss it so much since we got back. I think David was slightly worried about how much I was enjoying looking after a toddler haha!

Five Good Things For Friday

1. It is my best (boy) friend Joe's 21st birthday party tonight and Im so excited...even though its decided to p*ss down all day, fingers crossed I wont look like a drowned rat tonight!

(Me looking shattered and drunk, joe with a swollen face because of some wierd infection...lovely pair)

2. The best thing of the week by far was going with Davids mam to pick out the puppies theyre family are getting for Christmas...seriously they could fit in one hand they were so teensy! We picked out two girls and theyre gorgeous, and I cant wait for David to see them...

3. I  bought Cosmopolitan magazine yesterday and it came with a free pair of Eyelure false eyelashes which Im going to attempt to wear tonight. I never buy them normally because Im useless at putting them on, make a huge mess and flush them down the toilet in rage...but saying as these ones were free Im willing to give them another go :)

4. Ive just bought these two dresses and I LOVE them...

Asos - £40

 Missguided £15

5. 49 Sleeps until Christmas!!
Yes...Im counting already

October Empties

I havent done an empties post in so long, simply because I got sick of keeping empty products hanging around for weeks waiting for the end of the month to photograph them. I finished up lots of products when I went to Lanzarote as I took it as an oppourtunity to take away loads of nearly empty things and just chuck them out while I was away. However these few things Ive just finished all within the past few days so I thoght I would shove them in a little post....

Mac MSF Natural: This is the best face powder Ive ever tried. It gives a tiny bit of colour and coverage so can be worn alone for those non-foundation days, or works really nice as a setting powder. I used this everyday since I bought it in April, and have always taken it on nights out for a touch up in the Ladies so I dont look shiny and sweaty in any pictures that happen to be taken and it works a treat. Now Ive ran out and have a million parties coming up so I dont know what to do as I cant afford a new one just yet =/

Avon Supershock Mascara:
This is my most repurcashed mascara ever and my all time favourite. This is about my 6th tube now, and I dont have any back-ups because I bought the new Supershock Max to see how that differs from this...Im still deciding! Next time my Avon rep gives me a catalogue Ill definately be ordering a new one. Although I do want to try others out saying as Ive been using this one for so long.

Eyeko Big Eyes Mascara: Im completely gutted theyve discontinued this! Its literally the best mascara ever for instantly ginormous lashes, and now mine has dried up. Boo! I used to use this over my Avon mascara for extra volume, especially for nights out. I always get compliments when I use it because my lashes look like falsies but theyre not. So Im definately gunna miss this!

The Body Shop Vit. E Night Cream:
This was only a tiny 15ml pot but managed to last me about 4 months of using it every night all over my face, so a little really goes a long way. I love the Vit. E range from The Body Shop, I jsut feel like its good for my skin and does a good job of taking care of it, it smells like babies as well...like talc. It gives a lovely soft velvety finish once applied and my skin always feels really nourished and moisturised in the morning. Now Im night cream-less! I really want to buy the big tub of this but Im always willing to try new things if anyone has a good night cream to recommend?

xoxo

October Favourites

This is a teensy bit later than I normally post my favourites, but Ive just got back from holiday and have finally gotten round to taking some (horrendously bad) photos so youll have a load of posts coming now :)

My favourites for this month are thee little beauties...

L-R: Tangleteezer, Collection 2000 Cream Puff, MAC Big Baby Plushglass, Natural Collection Peach Melba Blusher, Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation

  The Tangleteezer
Im going to do a full post on this veeery soon so I wont go into too much depth, apart from to say I dont know how I lived before I owned this. Dramatic? Yes. Deserved? Yes. I got this smaller compact travel version on the plane going on holiday and I love it. More to come soon!

Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation
Again, I am going to do be doing a full review on this soon so I wont go overboard now. I bought it purely ta

Peach Melba Natural Collection Blush
Im very into natural looking blush colours, especially if Im going for a brighter eye or lip look, I perfer to play down the cheeks but still have some warmth to them. This is the perfect shade for doing that. It is a warm peach browny shade that I find can work beautifully as a contour powder as well as a gorgeous blush that just gives a healthy glow to the skin, in a way that you look like youve been on holiday perhaps. I think these blushes by Natural Collection are fantastic quality, I like the few I have just as much as my MAC ones, and these are only £1.99 which is unbelievable! I jsut wish they did a wider range of colours so i could get more!

MAC Big Baby Plushglass
I have never been a huge lpgloss fan, and never grown fond of any lipgloss in particular and just threw on whatever went with my lipstick. But since I got Big Baby last Christmas it is by miles my favourite ever lipgloss. You can tell this because Ive went threw about 2/3rds of the tube. The Plushglasses are meant to be plumping, and do give a slightly more volumised effect due to some teeny sparkly pieces, which arent irritating or overly noticable really. It tingles a tiny bit on application but it soon fades and is barely there so isnt at all irritating. I just love the milky consistency of it and the lovely nudey peachy colour that goes with any look and Ive worn it over loads of different lipsticks and it always looks good. Plus it isnt very sticky at all. Its my baby and I love it.

Collection 2000 Cream Puff
I pivked this up out of pure curiosity as it looks exactly like a lip gloss but is matte. It turns out that this is such a good product, not just a gimmick at all. It smells great, like cakes, and the effect it gives is a velvety soft feeling on the lips and a lovely pigmented colour with no stickyness or shine that comes with lipglosses. Im not sure what colour this is as it doesnt say anywhere on the tube, but it comes out a really nice rosey pink. Im thinking of trying out some of the other colours too.

New "Eight" Tag Post

I did a post back in March that was a tag post Id found somewhere called "Eight". Its currently one of my most read posts, and still gets a load of views to this day, so I thought I would do a renewed version, Ive left a few out that havent changed such as favourite places to eat, things I love about the seasons etc....so on with the tag, and I tag you all!

Sex and the City...its an on going obsession for me, no need to explain really.

The Bachelor...I loved the american version, and was gutted when I heard Gavin Henson was doing the UK version, but Ive grown to love him over the series, actually slightly in love now.

The OC....Ill still want to marry Seth when Im 70 I think.
